tions and excellent customer support, Scaleway is reliable. However, if scalability and the best services are your priorities, DedicatedCore also has the same best features as Scaleway in the VPS hosting market.

Absurdly horrible, Kafkaesque experience
I opened an account with Scaleway, and started working on a web application there. Scaleway sent me a mail saying: -- Hello, For security reasons,...
your account may be temporarily restricted. Please be assured that this is a standard verification procedure. In order to proceed, we kindly ask you to provide us with additional details regarding your project and intended use of our services. Specifically, please confirm whether your usage is for personal or business purposes. We also invite you to register a valid phone number (if not already done) and schedule a phone call at your convenience, based on Paris local time. Please note that if we do not receive your feedback within 48 hours, all services associated with this account may be automatically deleted. We remain at your disposal for any questions and look forward to your reply. We look forward to hearing from you. -- Unfortunately, the mail went to my spam folder. Note that the deadline given was 48 hours. I had absolutely no idea that I would need to jump through any kinds of hoops to "get verified", no other hosting company has ever asked me anything like that. The console let me buy up a ton of services an pay for them, at no point was "verification" mentioned as a prerequisite. 28 hours later, in the middle of the night, I received another message saying that if I don't respond in one hour (!), my account will be closed. Is this a mafia or something? Fortunately, I noticed the message, and replied immediately. I did also do all the verification steps, as silly as they were. Still, 20 minutes (not an hour) later, my account was locked, and I could no longer access my work on which I had spent significant time and resources. The banner on top of the site said: "Your account requires manual review by the Trust & Safety team. Create a support ticket for more information." So I opened a ticket, and got back a reply that "there is nothing they can do". Worst IT-related experience of my life.

NO Refunds
This has been, without exaggeration, one of the most infuriating, stressful, and financially damaging experiences I’ve ever had with any service**and ...
I’m stunned this company is still in business. They have a laughably rigid "no refunds after 45 days" policy, even if you're left with NINE MONTHS of unusable time on your account. Imagine paying for something long-term, only for the provider to completely fail on their endand then smugly deny you a refund. It's not just unethicalit's predatory. The server performance is absolutely abysmal. It feels like a ticking time bomb. Their servers go down every five damn minutes. I wish that were an exaggeration. You can’t run a business, host clients, or even keep a basic webpage online with this level of instability. And the worst part? They know it. They’ve been told. And they’ve done NOTHING. This isn’t just about downtime. This is about the destruction of trust, time, and business. Their constant outages directly led to the suspension of both my Google Ads and Google Merchant Center accounts. Do you have any idea what kind of hell it is trying to recover from that? The appeals, the explanations, the hours of writing emails and making calls just to prove that you didn’t do anything wrongit was your provider. I’ve lost revenue, credibility, and sleep over this. I’ve spent countless hours troubleshooting problems that weren’t mine to begin with fighting fires started by their failures. The psychological stress of watching your business crumble over something you can't control is unbearable. It’s anxiety. It’s helplessness. It’s rage. And above all, it's betrayal because I trusted them to deliver a basic, functional service. And what do you get when you raise these issues? Nothing. Silence. Or worse copy-pasted excuses from support agents who clearly don’t care and won’t lift a finger to help. If you value your business, your sanity, or even just basic decency, stay as far away from this company as possible. They’re not just unreliable they’re dangerous to your operations and reputation.
