acquired LearnDash, a learning management system (LMS) plugin for WordPress. The financial terms of this acquisition were not disclosed.
The Liquid Web Family of Brands provides managed hosting, digital commerce cloud, and WordPress solutions to SMBs. It manages over 500,000 websites, with over 125,000 software subscriptions and 2 million free software users.
LearnDash is a WordPress-based LMS built by e-learning specialists. Its LearnDash plugin brings cutting-edge e-learning to WordPress. In turn, it helps entrepreneurs, bloggers, start-ups, and SMBs worldwide to fuel their learning programs.
With its latest acquisition, the
Family of Brands will further extend its commitment to leading the market in the WordPress and WooCommerce arena. It will now offer innovative software solutions for online businesses and the designer and development teams behind them.

The LearnDash plugin business will join the Liquid Web Family under the StellarWP brand, the umbrella for the company’s premium WordPress software solutions. It already includes many WordPress brands, such as iThemes, The Events Calendar, Iconic, Kadence WP, GiveWP, and Restrict Content Pro.

expects the LMS industry to increase by over $30 billion by 2028 due to the COVID-19 crisis. StellarWP has now entered this lucrative niche due to the acquisition.
Still, LearnDash will remain an independent brand within StellarWP. All existing and new clients will continue getting the same service. While Justin Ferriman will stay as a consultant within the new entity, Chris Lema will take over the General Manager position of LearnDash.
