March 3rd 2020 review IS VERY TRUE; crappy synergy wholesale hosts australian chesschat.org.au led by administrators Bonehead Bonham Kevin & Karthick Rajendran, all they do is accuse innocent people (especiallyy Bonehead) of trying to kill them and how those who disagree with them threaten their lifes; They dont know chess but they know how to bitch. Same goes or syngergy wholesale; they refused to take down private info Bonehead posted on his crappy site nobody reads. He posted false info on certain individual and connected him to other people by posting their emails, synergy simply did not care even though they were emailed dozens of times!!! My Australian sites are now blazingly fast, so I'm very happy with the result. Value for money is god as well with the new build-your-own service.
I can't speak to their support as I've never needed it. Everything's been pretty much perfect.
One of the other reviewers was unhappy with the $99 entry fee. I personally like it - it keeps away the tyre kickers, it's probably an effective filter mechanism against smaller clients that'll take up a disproportionate amount of support time.
I contacted them about becoming a reseller of their services (domains and hosting) as my provider of many years was closing down (AussieHQ).
Synergy wanted $99 upfront (registration) before I could even view their pricing!!! I don't believe it is a good deal to pay a fee, if that fee is not being used towards initial purchases. I would have been fine with having that fee go towards the first few domain registrations - but no - they take your fee and keep it.
They do offer a rebate if you add 100 services in the first 30 days, but let's be honest - who is going to add 100 services in the first 30 days while you're still evaluating the service / company? Seems like the wrong business process to me and a bit over the top really - poor judgement from the management? Are they really that desperate they need to charge resellers a fee upfront?
I contacted them to query the above and the response was your typical arrogant, unfriendly and basically not interested reply. No explanation, no interest to discuss further.
As a result - I've moved to another provider and Synergy/Ventra will miss out on all of my business from over 300 customers.
How can they improve? - Listen to their resellers - Implement a policy to allow resellers to use fees towards purchases - don't expect users to commit 100 services in the first 30 days (unrealistic)
I would recommend avoiding this whole company , their webhosting is low quality and certain domains are using their services to carry out attacks on our clients.
