Pressable was a company I first heard about a couple of years ago. I've tried many hosts in the Managed WordPress hosting space - I've used most of them. Pressable fits a need for mid-sized businesses...Read More or growing agencies that need the features they've come to expect (backups, migrations, themes), but at a price that won't devastate their wallet. If you've looked at hosting like Siteground, GoDaddy managed WordPress, Bluehost, or any of the EIG hosts, you'll probabaly be extremely happy with Pressable. The Starter pack will be enough for many small businesses that have multiple domains.Less

Better than having in-house IT

Honestly, the best support I've ever seen. Fast (faster in USA working hours), proactive and, of course, helpful. They have always understood my needs, sometimes even offering me free features that I wasn't taking advantage of (ca...Read Moreching and general optimization). No crashes in 3 months I've been with them, constant notifications of changes and improvements and a really easy-to-use dashboard. And an extraordinary price. What else would I need?

(This review is so flattering that it's going to look like I got paid, but it's just been the discovery of the year for me.)

My Business runs on WordPress and Pressable

I couldn't be happier with Pressable. I was with SiteGround for three years previously and decided it was time to level-up my hosting. The migration was seamless. Pressable,
Hello Radoslav,

Of course, we'd like to keep all of our customers-- but we know we can't be the one-stop solution for everyone. I wanted to just make clear that your refund was processed by our team as soon as the cancellatio...Read Moren was received, but the lag on the refund was on your banks side. We've seen this plenty of times with overseas transactions, and I apologize that the expectation wasn't properly set.

We wish you the best in all your future WordPress hosting endeavors, and hope you have a great 2019!

So far very good

I've recently started using them and have transferred 4 websites to them. They offered to help migrate the sites for me and through email were actually very responsive to support requests, even for Wordpress specific issues that o...Read Morether hosts are unwilling to help with. I think the price is actually very low for a WP-optimized host and to host up to 5 sites on the same account. They beat out Siteground in performance and support, and the next step up to WPEngine would be far more expensive (for 4-5 sites) for only a minor increase in performance and support. Can't speak to long term uptime and continued support, but so far I'm happy with them as a good value for strong support WP-optimized performance.

One thing to note is that they run nginx, not apache, so some things (like the custom .htaccess I had fine-tuned on my previous host) was no longer applicable. Minor annoyance, but their support talked me through the difference and they seem willing to help with nearly anything.

Expert Overview

Hosting Focused on WordPress

Pressable is a shared hosting company (they also do have cloud options) that is focused on providing customers with good WordPress hosting.  Since WordPress is the most popular content management system on the web today, some hosting companies are offering hosting focused on this CMS.  This can be very helpful, especially for customers who don’t want to deal with the hosting side of things and just want to work on their site.

They have been in business since 2010 and are based in Texas.  They started out as “ZippyKid” but then rebranded as Pressable in 2013.  While the company is quite small, they do offer their services to a lot of customers and have been building a good reputation so far.

Uptime & Reliability

Not Much Info Here

They really don’t talk much about uptime on their site.  They use good hardware and are housed in a nice facility though.  Also, since they manage all your back end options it is much less likely that there will be an outage caused by user error.  Looking at what current and former customers have said, it seems that uptime and reliability won’t be an issue.

Features

Unusual Features

When you look at their features you will find that they are quite different than most hosting companies.  Of course, since they are focused only on WordPress sites, that has something to do with it.  They do have limits on their hosting packages, but the limits are based on the number of sites you can host and the number of total page views you get.  I’ve actually never seen a hosting company put limits on page views, so this is quite weird.

You do get some nice options through.  They will, for example, handle your WordPress updates and security.  They will set up the caching for your site for faster load times and even provide malware scanning and removal.  Essentially you’re paying for their expertise in WordPress so you can just focus on publishing your content.

Support

Exceptional Support

This is where the company really sells itself.  They will handle all your support and things like that so you don’t have to worry about it.  This really is more than just support since they manage upgrades and all that type of thing.

Pricing

Seems Expensive

Their prices seem high to me, but since their services are unique it is hard to say for sure.  The entry level option is $20.83 per month and that allows up to 5 sites with a total of 15,000 pageviews.  It is important to keep in mind that what you’re paying for here is the ‘white glove’ service where they handle all your back end management so you can just focus on your site.  This is worth a lot to many people, in which case the prices are very reasonable.

They also offer two ‘high end’ options, but they are priced really high.  They are cloud based solutions and allow for 1 million + page views per month.  These two options are $750 and $3500 per month, which seems way too high.

Summary

Nice Option for WordPress Hosting

This company is focused on WordPress hosting so if you don’t use WordPress or think that you might move away from them at some point, this is not the company for you.  If, however, you like WordPress and you are tired of trying to manage things like upgrades and other ‘back end’ items, this company might offer you exactly what you need.

Pros:

  • They Handle Everything for Hosting
  • Focused on WordPress

Cons:

    • Prices seem slightly high
    • Limits based on Page Views
