Knownsrv.com is a hosting concern that was started in 2013 and is based in the UK and Croatia, operating out of data centers in Luxembourg, the Netherlands and Romania. They have done a good job getting their company started and while still fairly small seem to have developed a fairly good reputation for providing good services.
With three different data centers in use, it would seem that Knownsrv would be able to easily accommodate their 99.9% uptime. Notices on the details page state that the firm does not “oversell” their capacity so customers can depend on 100% of the resources they pay for being available.

Knownsrv’s support functions requires a customer logon to access, but the knowledgebase appears to be well-populated and an email app is available to customers to submit questions. Also, during my visits to the website for information, I was greeting three different times by a chat window with what appeared to be a live person behind it.
There are several advertisements on the site’s webpages that state support is offered 24/7/365. While there is only an email feature for inquiries, this technique does help prioritize service requests that overall are a benefit to all users.
Web hosting packages start at $2.95 monthly and include 5 GB of disk space, 30 GB of bandwidth, unlimited domain names and email accounts. At the high end, the monthly cost of $14.95 and comes with 20 GB of disk space, 400 GB of bandwidth, and the same unlimited allowances for email and domains. Free migration is included, and a gigabit connection is standard on all web hosting accounts.
VPS starts at $19.95 per month and includes 30 GB of disk space, unmetered incoming bandwidth, 500 GB of outbound bandwidth, and one usable CPU and 1 GB of RAM. At the high end, disk space is increased to 200 GB, unmetered incoming and 5 TB of bandwidth, 3 CPU’s and 8 GB of dedicated RAM at $59.95 per month. Setup times on VPS is listed at between 1 and 24 hours and a discount of 15% is available for paying for 1 years’ service in advance. A dedicated IP address is available for $2.00 per month if desired.
Dedicated server prices are available only by quote, which is perfectly reasonable, the details page states that support services are included with all dedicated server items.
Prices are clearly explained on the respective pages and a 15% discount is offered for customers paying for one year of service in advance. There aren’t any references regarding tax, but each country that Knownsrv does business in have value-added taxes that range from 18 to 21%. As with any agreement, customers would need to inquire prior to committing to a contract just what exactly is included in the price.
Overall, Knownsrv seems to be a well-organized company with many different services to offer. Granted, not many sites offer it but I would like to see a few graphics or reports on the availability and response times of their VPS or shared hosting platforms. The company offers quite a few different software tools that are available with any package to make the customer’s site as easy to manage/maintain as possible.
Knownsrv also points out that while they aren’t the cheapest provider, they make the very valid statement of “quality comes at a prices”. It seems that the company is ready to back their value statements up with a high-quality product.
