I tested the purchase and setup experience for GoDaddy email hosting, covering both the standalone Professional Business Email purchase flow and the Microsoft 365 email setup included with a hosting plan.
The process starts at GoDaddy’s Professional Business Email page. The plan selection screen displays all four tiers side by side: Pro Light, Pro Plus (marked as “Recommended” with a teal highlighted border), Premium, and Ultra.

Each plan shows the per-mailbox monthly price on a 1-year introductory term, an “Add to Cart” button, and a feature list.
The layout is clean and easy to compare. Each plan card shows what is included and explicitly lists what it adds over the previous tier (“Everything in Pro Light, plus…”). This cumulative feature display makes it simple to see exactly what you gain by upgrading.
I clicked “Add to Cart” on Pro Plus.
After adding Pro Plus to the cart, a “Customize your plan” page appeared with two configuration options:

This DNS step is necessary to connect your domain to Microsoft’s email servers. If your domain is registered with GoDaddy, this process is largely automated. If your domain is with another registrar, you will need to manually add the DNS records that GoDaddy provides.

GoDaddy offers 24/7 support via live chat, phone, and SMS on all plans.
I clicked “Contact Us” and was greeted by GoDaddy’s virtual assistant. It identified itself as an AI and included a disclaimer that GoDaddy does not accept payment data over chat.
I asked a direct technical question about email configuration:

This was an excellent response. The AI provided exact server names, port numbers, and security protocols without hesitation.
