According to their report the top 10 most most registered TLDs of the year are:.com , .xyz, .net, .club, .me, .org, .co, .shop, .info, and .live, in descending order.
The most popular on the list is the .com domain registered on March 15, 1985, and even after three decades, it remains the Internet’s top domain choice with more than three million registered. In turn, the second most popular domain is .xyz, which has grown and has more than 650,000 registrations this year.
The interesting fact on this list is that .me has seen a spike and jumped over to 5th place. This is also the first non-generic top-level domain (non-gTLD) on the list. This domain is also the best top ccTLD of the year.
