Microsoft takes on Wix and Squarespace by releasing a brand new low-code website builder and Internet hosting platform aimed at enterprise customers – Power Pages.

Previously, Power Pages was a feature of the Energy Apps platform, which enabled clients to develop cellular apps that operate on Android, iOS, and Windows. However, Microsoft has resurrected Power Pages as a standalone offering to let developers design, manage, and publish webpages for desktop and mobile.

The new-look Power Pages builder, which is now in preview, offers a variety of additional choices and services. Some of the new platform’s features and capabilities include a design studio where web developers may explore, build, and publish enterprise websites, as well as templates for website designers to use.
The solution also includes developer gadgets integrated with Visible Studio, GitHub, and Azure DevOps to assist website designers and builders in accomplishing company needs on their websites.
Furthermore, Microsoft may also provide the center of a template, which provides full-featured websites with demo data, allowing users to manage scheduling, registration, and app submission.
Finally, in terms of security, Microsoft has introduced governance instruments to Power Pages to allow users to secure their website content and information via entry restrictions and Azure.
