team.blue Denmark has chosen Ciena’s Waveserver Ai platform as the foundation for its WAN-ring, which enables the cross-location point-to-point metro data centers to interconnect (DCI) network access.

team.blue Denmark is a member of the team.blue Group, a leading European hosting and cloud solutions company. As a team of an international cloud and hosting services company, it assists over 2.5 million consumers across Europe and employs over 1,600 professionals.
Michael Munk Lassen, who serves the role of Principal Systems Architect and Head of Technology at team.blue, had the following to say:
We needed a solution to extend the capabilities of our current dark fiber infrastructure. It needed to be powerful, easy to use, and extremely stable while also being ultra-efficient in terms of power and size. Ciena’s Waveserver Ai platform meets this need and enables us to create a simple point-to-point network between sites currently providing up to 8x100G on a single dark fiber which can be scaled further if needed.
Ciena’s Waveserver Ai solution would provide scalable and flexible multi-terabit connection services.

Jean David Fabre, who serves the role of Director in Datacenter Connectivity Solutions at Ciena, had the following to say:
Cloud and content providers across the globe are investing in their DCI capabilities to increase network efficiency, reduce energy consumption and enable highly resilient connectivity at the edge of their network. Rolling out Ciena’s Waverserver Ai platform allows team.blue Denmark to provide cutting-edge services.
Ciena’s Waveserver Ai platform delivers high capacity – up to 2.4 Tb/s in a single rack unit – to meet huge scaling difficulties. Waveserver Ai is easy to set up and operate since it employs a common operational toolkit and can be operated using industry-standard open APIs and data formats. The platform’s compact size will save money on real estate while providing the capacity needed to fulfill the metro’s expanding bandwidth demands.
