Contabo Hosting Launches Two New US Data Center Regions

Contabo Hosting Launches Two New US Data Center Regions

Contabo Hosting announced two new US Data Centers in New York City, NY, and Seattle, WA, on the 4th of July. They have waived the setup fee for

, Virtual Dedicated Servers, and to celebrate the launch as part of their “Special Independence Day Deal.”

, founded in 2003, commits to provide German quality with global availability. They are focused on stable data centers with rigorous internal processes and high customer support standards. Still, what makes Contabo Hosting special is that they also provide incredible prices.

The company introduced its first data center in the US back in April 2020. With this innovation, they have brought their servers closer to the end-users, further decreasing the latency.

Currently,

offers affordable servers with low latency to users in the US and Canada with data centers in US East, US Central, and US West.

Contabo Hosting wrote on its site:

Beforehand, you had to choose between a great price and a local server; now you can have both. We have noticed that people in the US and Canada often end up paying a hefty price to have their servers located nearby. The same is true for people who want to have their servers close to their customers located in the US. Now, none of them have to choose between a low-latency server and an affordable price. With our two new Regions, we can offer people living in main US metropolitan areas servers with ping as low as 3 ms.

Contabo Hosting will retain its specifications and base prices the same as elsewhere. However, they will charge an additional location fee to cover the higher cost of operating data centers in major cities. They have pointed out that their data center is located on Broadway, right in the middle of Manhattan, further increasing their cost of operation.

The new data centers in New York and Seattle feature the same German quality; hardware and network equipment, management and monitoring processes and software platforms, virtualization technology, host system software, and installation scripts as other regions.

Contabo Hosting further explained:

Our new US Data Centers are equipped with uplinks from Cogent or Lumen – both considered Tier 1 carriers. They have redundant power sources and state-of-art security features. Fire suppression and detection systems consist of heat detectors, smoke heads, pre-action, and dry pipe sprinklers. Cooling is provided by a chilled water system with a redundant setup of chillers and by roof top dry coolers. Parallel generators deliver uninterrupted and redundant power supply.

The company also provides an opportunity for existing Contabo customers to migrate their existing

or Virtual Dedicated Server without a disk to one of the new Data Centers. If you are one such user, you can contact their support team to schedule your server migration.
