Airtel Nigeria has opened a state-of-the-art tier 3 commercial data center in the Lekki district of Lagos State. It’s well-positioned to serve Nigeria’s huge financial, telecommunication, and other types of businesses, both large and small.
The top telecoms services provider commissioned the facility on Tuesday, April 12, 2022, to assist in delivering perfect uptime and unrivaled security for the servers it holds, as well as cloud services for businesses and government facilities around the country.
The Airtel ultra-modern data center was awarded the high-end Tier 3 ANSI/TIA-942 certification by EPI, the world’s leading certification body for data centers. It runs on a superior technology that allows it to perform efficiently in Nigeria’s tropical climate while also providing multiple paths and backups to its users.
According to Mr. Surendran Chemmenkotil, MD/CEO of Airtel Nigeria, the data center’s launch is in response to the company’s overarching goal of promoting digital inclusion and providing unrestricted access and opportunities for entrepreneurs, businesses, and other organizations to benefit from premium data center services in a world-class and reliable facility.
