Step 1 – Adding a New CMS Page in Magento
Creating a new CMS Page in your Magento store is easy. To accomplish this, log into your Magento Admin Panel. Click Content then select Pages.
A new window with all your web pages will appear. Click Add New Page, to create a new CMS page.
This will take you to a new window, Enter the Page Title and set the Enable Page button to YES or NO.
Once you set the Page Title, scroll down and click the Content. In the Content section, enter the Content Heading and write a short description in the given Text box.
You can also select where you want the page to be viewed. Click Page in Website and choose one of the available options in the Store View.
Next, set the page layout, click Design and select how you want the page to display. Here you have different options including Column, >Columns, Columns with left bar, and Columns with right bar. Choose the one that suits your style.
In addition, the new page in Magento gives options to set Search Engine Optimization and the Custom Design Update.
Once you have set everything, click Save Page to create the new Page.
The new page can be added to any other via a link widget. For example, to add the new page as a link on your Home Page. Go to the Home Page edit menu and click Content, then select Insert Widget.
Step 2 – Adding a new CMS Block
CMS Blocks help you structure your e-commerce website and separate product categories when adding them to the Home Page. To create a new Block in Magento, go to your Magento Admin area, click Content and select Blocks.
Click Add New Block.
A new Page will appear, enter the required information (Block Title, Identifier, set Enable Block to YES, and select an option in the >Store view) and click Save Block to create the new Block.
The Identifier is an important option that can be used to implement the new Block into a page through a specific page code. For this reason, select an Identifier that you can easily remember; you will need it later.
Step 3 – Adding a New CMS Widget
To create a new Widget, go to your Magento Admin Area, click Content and select Widgets.
Click Add Widget to create a new widget.
This will take to the Widget Settings page. Select the Widget Type from the dropdown list; there are different types of widgets Types including CMS Page Link, CMS Static Block, Catalog New Product List, Catalog Products List, Catalog Products Link, Orders and Returns, Recently Viewed Products, and Recently Compared Products. Select the type that suits your stores’ needs. Next, select the Design Theme from the two options, Magento Blank or Magento Luma. Then click Continue.
This will take you to the Storefront Properties section. Enter the Widget Title and select a Store Views option.
Next, Set the Sort Order (Optional) and select Click Add Layout Update to set an ideal Layout for the new widget. Choose an option for the Container from the dropdown list and select an option for the Display On.
Once you are done, click Save to complete the process
