Yer is a hosting company that is based in the Republic of Azerbaijan. This is a small country in a region essentially at the intersection of Southeastern Europe and Southwestern Asia. They offer shared hosting and dedicated servers for their customers. As a smaller hosting provider they seem to work hard to provide their customers with a good overall level of service.
They have been open since 2005 and have seen some success. Their site is a little hard to read from the Google translation, but that is not necessarily their fault. It is also quite difficult to find anyone who is actually using their services since it is primarily for a regional customer base. This has made it difficult to learn what actual users have to say about the services.
It is hard to determine the exact stability of this hosting company because they don’t provide much information. In addition, reviews are hard to find since they are all written in their local language. There is no evidence to suggest that they don’t do a good job with providing good stable hosting for their users.
The hosting features offered by this company are right in line with what you would normally see from most hosting companies. They have six hosting packages for shared hosting and then a couple of dedicated server options to choose from. The shared hosting options is a little confusing at first in how it is laid out. Once you get used to it, however, you can see what you’re getting.
The shared hosting offers 2-100 gigs of disk space, unlimited bandwidth and many other nice features. They also have backup options, stats, phpMyAdmin, Webalizer and a variety of other good hosting features. When moving up to the dedicated servers you will have two main options to choose from, both made by HP. They aren’t really the best quality servers on the market, but you will get added control, which is important for some people.
They have a support email address and appear to be responsive to those who need help. They don’t, however, have any type of self-help information on their site so you are left alone if you want to go that route. When you have issues, however, they will work to get them fixed fast.
The prices are pretty much in line with what you would expect to pay for the level of hosting services they offer. Oddly, some of the prices are listed in Euro and others are listed in the local Azerbaijan currency. It isn’t clear why this is the case. When looking at shared hosting options you’ll see that you have to pay annually for the entry level option, so keep that in mind. It starts at 45AZN per year, and goes up from there.
This is not the easiest hosting provider to work with. While they do have a nice looking site, the hosting features table is not laid out properly for easy understandings. Their site is also very difficult to read when translated into English. Overall, the company isn’t bad but there are quite a few little things that they could improve upon.
The hosting with this company is fairly good for the region. While the limited amount of information available has made it difficult to really give it a full run through, most people will likely be happy with the overall level of service.
