Allwebnow is a Cincinnati,OH based hosting and Web Development company. It was started in the early 2000’s and has since shifted it’s focus primarily on shared hosting services, including reseller hosting accounts. They’ve been around for over a decade, and even though they offer a limited amount of services they offer exceptional support services, keeping a very personalized approach with all of their clients.
Uptime & Reliability
Very reliable with excellent backups
I really love their automated nightly backup system, as it assures a copy of your website is kept secure. They offer 24/7 support for any technical issues. They also offer a 99.99% uptime guarantee and a 30-day no questions asked money back promise. I have read numerous reviews online and a few of them complaining of downtime, but many others didn’t have any problems. Heck, they are even BBB listed, so they aren’t just a random reseller organization that just pops up and then disappears.
Features
Mostly basic hosting options
They have three basic hosting packages. All run on cPanel and feature either 10, 15, or 20GB of disk space. That’s in addition to 100, 150, and 200GB of bandwidth for each respective plan. Besides that, most plans are generally the same with minor differences and no sign of customization. You do also get a free domain if you buy the yearly package. They have 4 reseller plans but it makes little sense to me, as two of them are more expensive than the ones below them yet offer virtually no advantages. For that reason, I will only mention the Standard and Premium plans, and not the so called “Master” ones. The standard has 10GB of disk space to go along with 100GB of data, with a maximum of 1000 accounts. The other plan has unlimited accounts, 50GB of data, and 500GB of bandwidth. All reseller plans also come with dedicated name-servers, and a free domain if you purchase a yearly plan.
Support
Great support from qualified technicians
They do have a technical support phone number you can call, as well as for sales, but during business hours only. Their email and ticket system is monitored 24/7 for questions outside of business hours. Their knowledge base and FAQ is filled with nearly 200 different documents, and going through them, they actually seem useful and not just generic content to make it look full. One of their main selling points is the quick, personalized support service you get, usually receiving a response from an experienced technician within 2 hours.
Pricing
Slightly over priced for what you get
The three shared plans cost between $9.95 and $24.95 per month, and the price gets a little cheaper with quarterly and yearly plans. Not extremely overpriced, but a little a bit, especially the $25 plan, considering its not even much disk space or bandwidth for such an expensive shared hosting account in the US. The cheap plan is decently affordable, though 10GB of disk and no add-on domains is not a plus! Shared hosting accounts cost either $14.99 or $29.99. The Master plans are a little more expensive but as I said earlier, they really carry no additional benefits and I don’t know why they even exist. When you think about it, it’s really not the worst price at all, though you wish you could have more than 10 or even 50GB of disk space, limiting what you can do with each website. I’ve seen many far worse though. They even have domain names available for purchase that are too expensive, starting at $15 per year.
Summary
The services they provide are well managed
While they’ve been around for a while, their services are really limited. Their domain names are rather expensive, while their hosting plans are in no way a steal, some of them can even be considered a ripoff. If you do get hosting with them, you can expect them to be reliable and have an excellent support staff, so they are in no way a bad company, just a little bit on the high end with their prices. Overall, while I think you can find some better plans from competitors, it’s always good to go with a company that you know is backed up by BBB accreditation and offer excellent local support services. Pros:
- Great support team
- Automated nightly backups
- Very reliable hosting
Cons:
- High end packages are over priced
- Low disk space limitations
