Low Cost Hosting Provider
Web Leader is a hosting provider that is focused on the lower cost market. While their prices are low, they do say that they work hard at providing a good quality hosting experience. The company was founded in 2007 and has been growing and expanding ever since. While they aren't likely the best hosting option for those who need the highest end options and features, they do have a good reputation for meeting the needs of small to mid-sized sites.Read More
Uptime & Reliability
The hosting itself is quite reliable. You'll have your site on a good quality server that is housed in a good data center. From what I have read from other people and professionals in the industry, the sites almost never go all the way down. I have seen a number of complaints that there is a slow load speed for many customers.
This is not surprising at all since Web Leader has to oversell their shared servers to make it worth it at the prices they charge. As sites get busy, they will cause the other sites on the server to slow down.
Features Reflect the Price
As you look through the different hosting packages with this company you'll notice two things. First, the prices are very low. Second, the features in each package are also quite limited. For many people that might be just fine.
The budget hosting option, which is shared hosting, for example, starts at just $.40 per month. Yes, that's 40 cents per month. This category can go up to just $1.25 per month. While these are great prices, you will be limited to 250 megs of disk space for the lowest option and that only goes up to 1250 megs. You're limited on bandwidth to 25 gigs, which really ins't too bad for most people. They also limit you on the number of domains and sub-domains you can have.
As you move up to VPS hosting you'll have three options there starting with 1GHz CPU and 512 MB of RAM. This can go up to 4GHz CPU and 2 gigs of RAM. The disk space is limited, but at a high level so that won't be an issue.
Dedicated servers use AMD processors and here too you're limited to 2-8 gigs of RAM. The hard drives are either 250 or 500 gigs. Basically you'll get a decent server at a low cost, which is something many people will be very happy with.
Reasonable Tech Support
The tech support team is going to be able to provide you with assistance wherever you need it. For the most part, however, they are only going to support the actual hosting components and not the items you put on your server. This is is a standard rule, but many hosting providers will be willing to help. You can get in touch with the tech support through a ticketing system or live chat. They also have a nice knowledge base for self-help.
Very Low Prices
These really are some of the lowest prices I have ever seen. $.40 per month for actual hosting? That is rock bottom pricing. As you move up the prices to climb a bit, but still are pretty decent. For dedicated servers you will pay between $55 and $105 per month. This is a good price for the quality hardware that you're going to get.
Decent Hosting at LOW Prices
This company does exactly what they say they want to do. They provide cheap hosting that meets the needs of their customers. While some features and things like that aren't the best, they are still good for the price. Most people who want this company will be personal bloggers or small businesses that really don't need top of the line hosting.
