Their hosting is focused primarily on companies from in and around Israel or those who are targeting customers in this region. They are housed in a high quality data center that is safe and reliable so you won’t run into any significant issues. Overall, this is one of the better hosting providers in the region.
You won’t get an uptime guarantee with this company, but they do perform frequent storage backups and operate on nice servers. The data center is also quite nice so the chances are that you won’t run into any type of stability issues when working with this company. Most people that I have seen talking about hosting with Tux have been very satisfied with the overall reliability of their hosting.
As you look through the hosting options for this company you will see that they are all pretty easy to understand. They list everything in a chart so that you can compare similar types of hosting with each other and get exactly what you need. For shared hosting you can start with the entry level package that has 250 megs of disk space and go up to the highest option, which has 4 gigs. None of these options are too high, and that low one is significantly lower than average. They do have unlimited bandwidth for all shared hosting packages.
As you go through to the higher level hosting options it does get somewhat more confusing. They don’t really list things as ‘VPS’ or ‘Dedicated’ so you will need to take your time and dig into each option to see what you need. This is not difficult if you have experience with hosting, but if you are newer then it might be too confusing. The features in the higher level packages are still pretty low regarding disk space and things like that.
The tech support with this company is very good. They are available to help with just about any type of issue you might run into. They also offer quite a bit of documentation and other useful items to help you to address issues that you might run into.
The prices are all listed in the Israeli currency so unless that is what you use, you’ll need to do some conversions. When you convert the prices you will see that all the options are pretty much in line with what you would expect to pay. They are not the cheapest I have ever seen, but they certainly aren’t over priced either.
This company has an overall positive reputation, and they are seen as one of the best and most diverse hosting providers in Israel. They do have some issues that you need to be aware of though. Most important is that their disk space limitations are surprisingly low, especially at entry level. While many people won’t run into issues, it should be considered.
