Founded in 2001, RoseHosting claims to be the first hosting company to offer commercial Linux VPS. With an industry-leading 100% uptime guarantee, and unconditional root access, there’s lots to love.
RoseHosting boasts impressive user ratings across multiple platforms, with users praising static plan prices, great features, and excellent performance.
With its rich heritage, unparalleled service features, and glowing user reviews, RoseHosting emerges as a premium choice for anyone looking for superior and reliable hosting services, especially in the Linux virtual server domain.
However, with US-only data center locations, can RoseHosting stand up to competitors when it comes to global usage?
Let’s take a look!

At HostAdvice, we have a rating methodology for our web hosting reviews. We’ll apply this methodology to ranking this web host. For this review, we rank the web host on prices, features, performance, ease of use, and support on a 10-point scale. I will discuss each category further in subsequent headings.
| Price | 9.0 | Excellent value for money on all available plans, but there are competitors offering similar services for less. |
| Features | 9.0 | Stacked with loads of intuitive, valuable features across the board. However, VPS plans do not support Windows OS. |
| Performance | 9.0 | Excellent performance, but US residents will get the very best loading times. Proximity to the US dictates performance levels. |
| Ease of Use | 10 | Beginner-friendly interface, features, and tools, that also allow enough flexibility and advanced functionality for more experienced users. |
| Support | 8.0 | Decent customer support over live chat and ticket system. There is a knowledge base, but it’s not great. |
| Overall | 9.0 | Great performance, ease of use, pricing plans and feature-sets, backed up by a strong customer support presence. Knowledge base could (and should!) be improved, but they don’t lose many points for this overall. |
RoseHosting offers a wide range of hosting solutions, from WordPress hosting to VPS hosting and dedicated servers.
There is no free trial period for RoseHosting servers, however there is a 7-day money back guarantee. This could be extended, and most competitors do offer longer – but most users will know within the first week if it’s right for them. RoseHosting accepts Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express, and PayPal payments.

RoseHosting offers one of the best performances available on the market. They don’t just talk a good game, their servers actually deliver.
I used GTMetrix to test RoseHosting servers, and you can see a breakdown of the results below.
Okay, it’s not perfect – but it’s pretty close! These are some of the best performance results from any of the hosting providers I’ve tested, with amazing response times and low load times.
RoseHosting servers are high performance and reliable, even outside of the US.

Performance is important, but when you run into that first inevitable issue, you’re going to want great support too.
RoseHosting offers live support, phone lines, as well as a ticketing system for direct support.
First, you’re asked to fill in all the usual details – name, question, and support type (sales or technical).

Once I’d done this, I was transferred to a support agent in less than a minute. The agent introduced himself, and answered my question without any extra faff required (though this did take a couple of minutes, even for a simple question).

While the live chat could be a bit quicker, it’s a great choice for straightforward questions or account queries.
You can call the RoseHosting support team via a variety of numbers (depending on your location).

And from the bottom of the home page, under Contact Us, you can also email the RoseHosting support team directly.
The response time for a support ticket is typically within half an hour, but this option offers the most detailed answers and is recommended for serious issues. Customers will have more extensive support, especially if they use any of the Linux VPS or dedicated server plans.
Unfortunately, the RoseHosting knowledge base is empty or broken. It doesn’t display anything, which really hinders users who might be looking for a quick-fix or self-help solution.

RoseHosting’s hosting plans are fully managed, and many processes, such as app installation and backup systems, are entirely automated – this makes it easy to use for both beginners and developers who don’t have time for server management.
But let’s see how that actually looks in practice.
Setting up your account with RoseHosting is easy. Head to the website, and choose your preferred hosting type.

Check all the details are correct before continuing, then add your domain name and operating system.

Include any details for pre-install preferences, and additional services or addons. Make sure you don’t miss anything important here!

Check the details, and add your payment information.

You’ll also need to provide all the usual personal details.

Finally, enter any notes or additional context for your order and checkout when you’re done!

The whole thing took a few minutes, then I was ready to sign in to the control panel.
Users can choose from three free control panel options: DirectAdmin, WHM/cPanel, and Hestia. However, those on smaller servers (with less than 2 GB of RAM) only have access to DirectAdmin.

Choose whichever control panel interface you’re most familiar with for convenience, or select the interface that best suits your current project. I’d recommend DirectAdmin for beginners, and WHM/cPanel for more advanced functionality and support.
RoseHosting makes installing WordPress super easy via Softaculous. However, this is a paid feature.

Alternatively, you can get the WordPress hosting plan – with which you’ll get WordPress pre-installed.
RoseHosting allows you to add unlimited email accounts to your website. You can do so yourself or by contacting the support agents to help you.

Select one of the four email hosting options from your RoseHosting dashboard to get started.
So, let’s get to the point – do I recommend RoseHosting services? In short, absolutely!
While a lack of data centers outside of the United States might give some users pause to begin with, my tests have shown that RoseHosting servers perform well globally. Performance is naturally optimized in the US closer to data centers, but response and load times were amazing even here in the UK.
RoseHosting services may not be the cheapest on the market, but you’re paying for real quality and performance, as well as 24/7 customer support in case anything goes wrong. And what’s more? There are no hidden fees or increased renewal prices.
Overall, there really aren’t many drawbacks, and I can confidently say RoseHosting is one of my top recommendations for anyone looking for reliable website performance at any price.
