Nexwave is based in Montreal, Canada and offers both web hosting services and internet marketing services for individuals and small businesses. The company was formed when a new hosting company and an internet marketing company merged to become one. While other hosting companies also provide marketing, this one is fairly unique in that it focuses on web based marketing.
Their customers seem happy with the overall level of service they provide in both of these areas, and the company appears to be dedicated to ensuring quality service at all levels. While they certainly will offer their hosting to individuals, their main focus is always on small businesses as they feel they can offer an additional advantage to them.
They don’t really share much information about their uptime on their site. There is on guarantee that I could find and they don’t even list the information about the data center or data centers that they use or the hardware that they use. I did look through their social media pages and read what current and former customers have said about the company and didn’t find anything concerning. Usually if a host is unreliable it is easy to find evidence of so I would have to predict that they won’t give you any trouble, but it would have been nice to have more information on their site.
The features provided by this company are quite nice. You’ll have all the normal options that you would expect. All their packages allow for unlimited email accounts and email lists, which is important for businesses. They do have limits on disk space. The entry level option is limited to 1 gig of hard drive and 5 gigs of bandwidth. That is not too low and most customers won’t need anything higher for their site. As you move up you get to 50 gigs of disk space and bandwidth.
They do offer one free domain to each new customer as well, which is nice. The company handles domain registrations as well so that helps you to keep all the web based services confined to one company. You can opt for VPS hosting as well, which will provide hosting for medium sized businesses.
One unique feature offered by Nexwave is that they provide ‘no hassle’ hosting. For a set hourly rate you can have their technicians do all the tech work for you. This includes email account creation, FTP creation, database creation or manipulation, app installation, CMS installation, VPS installation, website transfers and much more. While this is nice, some of the items like hosting migration from another company are typically included free with other hosts so you may want to be careful.
Their technical support seems to be very good. They don’t list much information about it on their site, but users seem to be more than satisfied with it, which is a more important indication anyway. They also have some good documentation available on how to properly handle hosting so you can learn about it yourself.
Nexwave has fairly typical web hosting prices. The entry level shared option starts at $4.17 per month. Shared hosting has three options, which get more expensive as you go up. The highest end one is $8.34. As you move into VPS hosting it is more expensive yet of course, starting at $40 per month and going up to $125 per month.
As with all hosting companies you need to evaluate their pricing based on the features you get with it. With Nexwave the prices and the features match up very well. You are getting a nice deal. I wouldn’t say they are a discount hosting provider or anything like that, but they are priced fairly.
Nexwave seems to be a very nice hosting option for small businesses that are targeting customers throughout Canada or the United States. They clearly know what they are doing with hosting and marketing and will be able to help you with all that you need.
