Used to be Good - Had to move as unreliable.
I have 2 main sites using Magento 2 Enterprise edition.

Large Hosting Company based in Michigan
Nexcess is a large hosting company that is based out of Michigan. They have multiple data centers, two in Michigan, one in California , one in Miami, one in Great Britain and one in Australia. This helps them to attract customers from around the world and to be able to serve web traffic quickly no matter where the target users are located.
They really haven't given much information about the company itself other than that it was started out of the founder's garage and has grown rapidly. Based on their Facebook page, they have been in business since at least 2010, but likely quite a bit longer than that. They offer a number of nice services to their customers and while there are some complaints, most people seem to be quite happy.
They do offer most types of hosting options, but seem to focus most of their marketing efforts on the small to medium sized businesses. Overall, this seems like a nice hosting option to work with.
The quality of their data centers and hardware is quite good so you aren't likely to experience any downtime. In addition, if you opt for a higher level hosting option you can get additional redundancy and even backup servers to further eliminate the risk.
There was a couple of users on their social media pages and other locations that complained about downtime caused by a change made by Nexcess, but that is often unavoidable with any hosting company. Most of the user reviews have been quite positive, especially when it comes to reliability.
All the Standard Features You would Expect
The features from this company area all quite standard. They have limits on disk space and bandwidth, but no matter which hosting option you choose they are fairly generous so this isn't likely to be a concern. They do limit the number of mail acocunts you can have on shared servers, which is unfortunate since if you want to use them for a company it may be necessary to have more addresses.
Nexcess does offer free site migration from other hosting providers, a 30 day money back guarantee for their shared hosting solutions and more. As I browse through all their hosting options I don't see anything that really stands out as exceptional, but there is nothing that is really missing either.
Quality Tech Support
The tech support offered by this company is quite good. They are on site and ready to address any types of issues that you might have right away. Most users said it was easy to get in touch with them, though there were exceptions to that.
With this company, tech support isn't just for when you have problems. They are also there to help you get your site up and running and make sure that you are getting the most out of your hosting experience. They also have a nice blog with some good information in it.
The prices for this company seem to be consistantly above what you would expect to pay with other companies. They want to market themselves as 'a step above' and these higher prices play into that well. That being said, however, the prices really aren't outrageous. For their entry level hosting options it is $6.95 per month if you pay annually, or $9.95 per month if you pay monthly. The shared options go up from there until you hit the highest package at $21.95/month (annual) $24.95/month (monthly).
The dedicated servers run anywhere from $494.45/month with an annual payment ($549.95 monthly) to $699.95. This is for their basic dedicated hosting services. If you want their enterprise hosting it costs $1449.95 per month and up, but you get a lot of extra services. The most expensive option is $4,4495.95 per month and that is only with a 36 month agreement. At these prices you get a full internet suite including a staging environment, fast network, load balancers, firewalls and more. This really is a high end option for larger companies.
Quality Hosting with Lots of Room to Grow
This company is going to be able to meet the needs of any website no matter how big or small. While the prices are high, so are the levels of service they provide. They can handle customers of any size without a problem and since they have data centers around the world, the chances are that they can serve your traffic too.
- Data centers around the world
- Able to handle extremely large sites
- Lots of levels of service
- Prices are high
- Some complaints of down time but very limited
