Newer Hosting Solution with Good Potential
MyTrueHost was founded in 2011, which makes it a fairly new hosting option. That is not always a bad thing, however, as it seems that they are doing a good job providing higher quality hosting to their customers. They claim that they are dedicated to providing highly reliable, transparent, secure and affordable hosting to individuals and businesses, which they seem to be doing a good job of.
They have won awards from a number of different companies and from what I have been able to find, their customers are quite happy with the overall level of service too. They are based in the US and offer shared and VPS hosting.
Uptime & Reliability
Nice Uptime Guarantee
You’ll get a good 99.9% uptime guarantee, which is complimented by the 30 day money back guarantee. From what I have been able to find, this company does a great job at keeping you up and running. This is due in large part to the fact that they operate out of a very nice data center. It is not immediately clear whether they own the data center or just lease space, but either way there are a lot of nice options.
The data center has two diesel generators for backup power, three UPS power supplies for uninterrupted power transition in the event of an outage and more. They keep 2700 gallons of fuel on site for the generators so they can remain up even during extended power outages. They also perform routine tests and maintenance to ensure everything is running properly.
The data center is monitored by video surveillance 24/7 and has on site teams to ensure there are no problems. The network connections are all top of the line to ensure you don’t have any issues getting to your servers. They have multiple connections to the internet from different companies to prevent unexpected downtime.
Fairly Normal Features
You’ll get a lot of nice features with this company, though nothing is really extraordinary. They mostly provide all the normal things that you would come to expect from a hosting provider. That being said, however, they do a good job at providing them. Their hosting packages are all very respectable and you won’t be missing anything you need.
They do have a nice site builder option that is included with your hosting so if you’re not going to be using WordPress or some other pre-existing CMS, you can build your own solution without a problem. The company offers cPanel as well, which is what most users will want. With free setup and instant activation for new customers, this is really a good option for hosting. They also have a 30-day money back guarantee.
Good 24/7 tech support
The tech support provided by this company is very good. They are available through live chat or a ticketing system 24/7 so that you can always get in touch with them. They also have a nice knowledgebase for those who want to learn about hosting or provide their own support. This can be helpful in avoiding problems when running your site. Overall they do a great job keeping their customer’s sites running smoothly.
When you look at their package options you might at first think that they are over priced. This is because of the way they layout the chart. If you take a moment to look closer you will see that they are actually very affordable. Their lowest level package is just $12 per year. The platinum option, which is their highest shared hosting option, is $84 per year, which is just $7 per month. They do allow you to pay either every six months or every year, whichever you prefer. It seems, however, that they don’t have any option to pay month-to-month, which is what many people would want.
Very Nice Hosting Option
While they are a newer company, they really do seem to provide a high quality service to their customers. The reliability is very nice and the prices are low. Some people may be concerned that they have only been open for a few years, but it seems that they are doing a great job and will be here long into the future.
