JetOrbit is a hosting company based in Indonesia. They are focused on offering good quality shared hosting for all their customers. While they are a fairly small company, they do offer some nice options for all their customers. In addition, their prices seem to be fair (based on the currency exchange information I could find.). They don’t appear to own their own data center, but simply lease some space in an existing one. In addition, they only seem to have two servers available, which shows that they are a very small company. This is not necessarily a bad thing as they will still be able to provide you the hosting you need, especially if your target audience is in Indonesia or the surrounding area.
Uptime & Reliability
Good quality hosting
They don’t really have much information on the data center that they are housed in, and they don’t provide many details on the exact servers that they are using. They do have a 99% uptime guarantee, which really isn’t as good as most other companies. That being said, they also have a page that lists their exact uptime for each server. Overall, one server has 100% uptime and the other is at 99.44% for all time uptime. These are good numbers and it seems that you won’t have any issues related to outages with this company.
Features
Good hosting with many features
The way they have their hosting options split up is somewhat confusing, which I think is mostly attributed to the fact that their page is not in English. I used the translate option from Google, but that is not perfect. They have two categories, ‘mega’ and ‘giga’ hosting. It is not immediately clear if that is referring to megabytes and gigabytes or something else. Either way, in each of these two categories, they have three different packages to choose from. The different packages seem to have fairly standard features, including weekly backups, unlimited sub-domains, managed DNS, and 99%uptime guarantees. They are also powered by Litespeed webservers and cPanel. They don’t have any plans that have unlimited disk space and bandwith, but the limitations are reasonable. They start at 100 meg and 10 gig for disk space & bandwidth respectively. They go up from there until you reach the highest package which offers 10,000 MG and 500 gig.
Support
Not much information available about their support
They don’t provide very much information about the level of support that they provide. It appears that this is all located within their client pages. They do have live chat, but it is not 24/7. They also have a nice knowledgebase available for those who want to learn more about their hosting and attempt their own troubleshooting. I was not able to find anyone who had complaints about their support, but that could be because most people who write reviews about this site won’t be doing it in English. Overall, however, I see no reason to think that their support won’t be at least sufficient for most sites.
Pricing
Pricing seems to be about standard
The pricing at each level seems to be reasonable and within the normal ranges that you would see with most hosting companies. They do charge in the local Indonesian currency, however, which can make it somewhat confusing to figure out the exact exchange rate. That being said, there was nothing that I could find that made the prices seem unusual.
Summary
Good quality hosting for those in Indonesia
Overall, this seems like a nice company to work with. You’ll get good quality hosting from a company that seems to have been around for a while. While there isn’t too much that really stands out about this company, they do give good quality and highly reliable hosting to their customers. If you’re targeting an Indonesian audience, this is a good hosting company to consider. Pros:
- Servers seem quite reliable
- Good list of features
Cons:
- Only a 99% uptime guarantee
- Site does not natively translate into English
