During May, Hostiso:
Have you ever heard of? If not, it’s time you do. After all, it’s one of the most recognized hosts worldwide!
is a privately held web hosting company based in Zurich, Switzerland. The web hosting company has a well-established network with data centers in the US, Canada, Germany, France, Singapore, UK, Australia, Japan, Brazil.
Its innovative technology combines on-demand capabilities with top-of-the-line service. According to the provider, the key to a successful business relationship is understanding the customers’ needs and delivering superior support based on that understanding.
Or, well, at least that’s what they claim. Let’s put it to the test. The question for today is, does Hostiso stand true to its promises?
I am amazed by the welcome on Hostiso’s website. As soon as you visit the site, you will be greeted with an exciting design with eye-catching animation. They claim to offer what’s classified as ‘Beyond Managed Hosting.’
Immediately, you can spot the domain offers, listing the most popular alternatives, such as .com, .net, .org, .biz, .store, and so on.
In the top menu, you can find all that Hostiso has to offer –, , Unmanaged VPS, , Domains, Services, and the Affiliate Program. Within domains, you can either transfer or register a new domain.
In Services, you can find a VPN, Sitelock, Professional email, SpamExperts, Weebly, and SEO Tools.
With Hostiso’s Affiliate Program, you can start generating your revenue. Usually, affiliates endorse this web hosting company due to its quality of service. Andoffers excellent commissions in return.
As a customer, you need to get to a minimum affiliate commission balance of $100 to withdraw your money. You can do so using PayPal, Skrill, or Bitcoin/ETH. All you need to do is submit a support ticket to Hostiso’s customer support department, and they will take it from there. Then, after 30-60 business days, you will get your profits.
If you scroll a bit down on the homepage, you will get to the web hosting packages.
As you already know (my loyal followers certainly do), the next step is the purchase. And as always, I will go for the shared hosting plan. It allows me to estimate what the web hosting provider delivers at the minimum level. Also, I get to save a few bucks.
So, at this point, I will click on ‘see all…’ within the Shared hosting window. You can also assess these plans from the main menu within the Shared section.
I likebecause it offers premium features in all packages, regardless of the price. As a customer, you can benefit from:
Better yet, Hostiso offers unlimited sites, unmetered bandwidth, unlimited email, and MySQL in all three. Therefore, the only difference is the amount of GB Storage. At a minimum, you can get 100 GB storage and upgrade up to 500 GB of storage with the most expensive plan.
I will go with the Basic SSD plan. First, click on ‘Order Now.’ It will take you to the following screen. Here, you can register a new domain, transfer a domain from another registrar, use an existing domain and update your nameservers, or use a subdomain from Hostiso.
I will go for the second option and transfer my domain.
Once I clicked Transfer, I got the following message.
Once I clicked on Continue, I got to the following section – Configuration in the Shopping Cart.
Here, you can review what you are getting with the plan in the Order Summary box on the right.
Next, you can choose your billing cycle – monthly, semi-annually, annually, biennially, or triennially.
Within Configurable Options, you can find Location, SSL Certificate, Dedicated IPs, and CDN.
With Hostiso, you can choose from seven locations – Canada (Montreal), USA (St. Louis), Germany (Munich), France (Roubaix), Singapore (Singapore), UK (London), and Australia (Sydney).
Next, you get a Free SSL by default. However, you can also upgrade to a Standard SSL, Wildcard SSL, or EV SSL for an additional fee.
Going on, you can choose to get one to five additional IPs for your subscription.
At last, Hostiso provides the Cloudflare Basic for free, but you can also upgrade to Cloudflare PRO at an additional fee.
Now, onto the available add-ons. With Hostiso, you can get SiteLock Website Security, SpamExperts Email Security, Powerful Website Builder, CodeGuard Website Backup, SiteLock VPN, Marketgoo SEO Tools, and a Responsive Site Builder.
You can choose from four plans for SiteLock Website Security – Lite, Find, Fix, or Defend.
offers six SpamExperts Email Security plans.
Furthermore, you can add Free, Starter, Pro, or Business Weebly plans.
For backups, you can get the CodeGuard Website Backup. At this point, you can choose from seven plans, up to 200 GB per month.
As acustomer, you can also add SiteLock VPN.
Hostiso offers Lite and pro Marketgoo SEO Tools.
And at last, you can get One Page, Unlimited, Store, Store Plus, or Store Premium Responsive site builder.
Once you add everything to your shopping cart, make sure to check the Order Summary once again. Then, you can click ‘Continue.’
The next step is the domain’s configuration. Here, you need to review your domain name selections and any available add-ons. You can go for DNS Management, ID Protection, or Email Forwarding at an additional fee.
Now, if you went for the third option (using your existing domain and only updating the nameservers), you can skip all this hassle. Instead, you will jump from the add-ons straight to the Review & Checkout.
Then, at Checkout, you need to enter your personal and billing information. See, you can sign up with Facebook, Google, or Twitter. However, I will skip the social media platform options and fill in the form instead.
Once you enter all required data, you can scroll a bit down to get to the last chance offers.
At last, you need to enter the payment details. At this point, you can go for PayPal, Credit Card, Skrill, Bitcoin & Altcoins. Finally, click on Complete Order.
Once you enter the Client Area, you will see the following screen.
On the left side, you can notice shortcuts to add funds to your credit balance, update your info, add contacts, order new services, register a new domain, or log out.
You can also spot Services, Domains, Tickets, and Invoices, and I will cover each of them separately.
Hostiso also offers quick access to its Knowledgebase. All you need to do is enter a keyword or your question to get an answer.
Here, you can also find services as recommended add-ons for your web hosting plan.
Next, you can quickly log in to your server using cPanel or Webmail, review your active products/services, view recent support tickets, open a new one, register a new domain, or refer a friend.
As you can spot, I have a single service. Once I clicked on it, it took me to the following screen. Here, you can review the name, pricing, next due date, and service status.
If you click on Active, you will get to more details. From here, you can log in to cPanel or Webmail, change your password, upgrade/downgrade the plan, upgrade/downgrade options, or request cancellation. You can also find all available add-ons, as explained before, on the left.also provides quick access to the Apps Installer, Email Accounts, Subdomains, Addon Domains, phpMyAdmin, Cron Jobs, etc.
At this point, I went for the cPanel option. Let’s check what it has to offer.
By default, Hostiso offers a dark version of the cPanel, but you can also switch to Glass.
Personally, I like the Glass style better.
In Email, you can find Email Accounts, Forwarders, Email Routing, Autoresponders, Default Addresses, Track Delivery, Email Filters, and Global Email Filters. Furthermore, Hostiso’s cPanel offers Email Deliverability, Address Importer, Spam Filters, Archive, Encryption, BoxTrapper, Calendars and Contacts, Calendar Delegation and Email Disk Usage from here.
News & Announcements, Search our Knowledgebase, Open Ticket, View Support Tickets, Manage Profile, View/Order Addons, Manage/View Billing Information, View Invoice/Email History, Register or Transfer a Domain are all part of the Billing & Support section.
Next, in Files, you can find the File Manager, Directory Privacy, Disk Usage, Web Disk, FTP Accounts, Backup, Backup Wizard, Git Version Control, and File and Directory Restoration.
Databses covers phpMyAdmin, MySQL Databases, MySQL Database Wizard, Remote MySQL, PostgreSQL Databases, PostgreSQL Database Wizard, and phpPgAdmin.
Next, Site Publisher, Domains, Addon Domains, Subdomains, Aliases, Redirects, Zone Editor, and Dynamic DNS are part of Domains.
The Hostiso Apps Installer is divided into Scripts and Categories. In Scripts, you can find WordPress, Joomla, AbanteCart, phpBB, SMF, WHMCS, Open Real Estate, MyBB, pH7CMS, Dolphin, Laravel, OpenCart, Concrete CMS, and ClipBucket.
Blogs, Portals/CMS, Forums, Image Galleries, Wikis, Social Networking, Ad Management, Calendars, Gaming, Mails, Polls and Analytics, Project Management, E-Commerce, ERP, Guest Books, Customer Support, Frameworks, Educational, DB Tools, Music, Video, RSS, File Management, Others and Libraries are part of Categories.
SSH Access, IP Blocker, SSL/TLS, Hotlink Protection, Leech Protection, ModSecurity, SSL/TLS Status, Two-Factor Authentication, and ImunifyAV are part of the Security section.
Software consists of PHP PEAR Packages, Perl Modules, Optimize Website, Application Manager, MultiPHP Manager, MultiPHP INI Editor, and Softaculous Apps Installer.
Next, Advanced covers Terminal, Cron Jobs, Track DNS, Apache Handlers, and MIME Types.
Finally, you can find Preferences with Password & Security, Change Language, Change Style, Contact Information, and User Manager.
On the right of the cPanel, you can find statistics regarding your resource usage. In turn, you can see how much of a certain component, such as disk space, domains, or email accounts, you have left to use. For instance, I can use up to three add-on domains, infinite email accounts, infinite MySQL databases, and so on.
Above the Statistics, you can also find General and Server Information. General Information covers current user, primary domain, shared IP (dedicated, if you have), home directory, last login IP, and theme.
In Server Information, you can assess hosting package, server name, cPanel version, Apache, PHP, MySQL Version, Architecture, OS, Shared IP Address, Path to Sendmail or Perl, the Perl or Kernel Version.
And that’s more or less all there is regarding the cPanel. It’s an easy-to-use tool that’s incredibly beneficial for beginners. So, now, let’s get back to the Client Area.
You can review your active and expired domains, renew a domain, register a new one, or transfer a domain in Domains.
Next, Tickets provides a comprehensive view of all your past interactions with theteam using the ticketing system. Here, you can filter the messages by Open, Answered, Customer-Reply, and Closed.
Below this section, you can also get support – check announcements, assess the Knowledgebase, Downloads, Network Status, or Open a new ticket.
If there’s a network issue, Hostiso will list it in the Network Status section. So, you can check the performance at all times.
Finally, in Invoices, you can check paid, unpaid, canceled, and refunded invoices. Apart from My Invoices, you can also find My Quotes or Add Funds.
requires a minimum deposit of $10 and a maximum of $100. At a time, you can have a $300 balance at most, meaning you can add three times $100 to reach it.
Your website uptime, speed, and overall performance are key components of your customer’s experience. No visitor likes waiting around for your site to load, or worse yet, don’t load at all.
provides for a 99.99% uptime guarantee, excluding maintenance. As a customer, you are eligible for a credit for network downtime for any breach of this guarantee.
Hostiso operates in data centers across three continents – North America, Europe, and Asia. Better yet, all of its data centers are connected to multiple 10-gigabit backbones across the globe.
The provider utilizes high-quality bandwidth providers, major carriers that can guarantee the highest possible availability and speed, or optimal connections worldwide.
Furthermore, Hostiso prevents electricity outages by multiple power feeds, its own power generators, and enterprise-class UPS technology. It protects the facilities by 24/7 human security, biometrics, access control man traps, bulletproof lobbies, and video surveillance.
also provides for SSD and CDN, significantly boosting the website performance and speed. See, a solid-state drive (SSD) reads up to 10 times faster and writes up to 20 times faster than a hard disk drive (HDD).
I stumbled upon a piece of news saying that Hostiso offers live chat support. Unfortunately, that’s not the case.
Instead, you can contact the Hostiso team via email or using the ticketing system.
As mentioned, you can open a ticket from the Client Area. You need to click Tickets and Open Ticket, leading you to the following screen to do so. However, even if you don’t have an account, thus have no access to the client area, you can use the form from the homepage.
I will use the Client Area. And as usual, I will ask for a refund.
I selected General, which took me to the following screen. See, Hostiso offers several subjects by default. However, if none of them fit, you can also write your own. You can also choose the related service, in my case, the Basic plan. At last, choose the priority – Low, Medium, or High.
When I started writing, offered me an article from the Knowledgebase that is found as a suitable suggestion. However, if you don’t find it helpful or sufficient, you can always fill out the form and click Submit.
After your refund is approved, Hostiso might take up to ten days to process it.
Hostiso’s Knowledgebase consists of several categories, including cPanel Email Tutorials, cPanel End User Tutorials, cPanel General, cPanel MySQL Tutorials, FileZilla Tutorials, General, PuTTY Tutorials, RoundCube Email Tutorials, and WordPress Tutorials.

Hostiso is well-aware of its superior qualities, up to the degree that they have a ‘What Makes The Hostiso Awesome’ section on their website. Here’s why you should go for Hostiso over other web hosting providers on the market:
During April 2022, Hostiso:
During March 2022, Hostiso:
During February 2022, Hostiso:
During January 2022, Hostiso:
During December 2021, Hostiso:
During November 2021, Hostiso:
To answer the research question – doesstand true to its promises? It certainly does! With Hostiso, you can benefit from superior technology and in-house management, leading to outstanding performance, reliability, security, and speed. The provider allows for a 99.99% Uptime Guarantee and compensations for anything below the standard. So, you can rest assured. Furthermore, you can find lots of free premium features along with a bunch of add-ons for further customization, security, and speed. For instance, you can benefit from free SSL, CDN, Domain, and so on. However, you can also upgrade to more advanced versions of the first two, add SpamExperts, Sitelock, etc.
On the other hand, Hostiso is a bit more expensive than its competitors. The second thing I don’t like about it is the customer support. Nowadays, all quality web hosting companies allow for instant, round-the-clock support. Unfortunately, that’s not the case with Hostiso. Instead, you can go for the ticketing system or email support – and that’s all there is.
