Xenon Host has been a Romanian Web hosting company that has been in service since 2008. Servers and support are based out of Romania, and they want to offer web hosting with simplicity and ease. Their hosting options are marketed toward individuals and small businesses that are more concerned with website availability and uptime than with developing and maintaining their sites. Their servers have Intel Quad-Core processors and a minimum of 4GB of RAM depending on which server you choose. They operate Linux on their hosting platforms as their primary operating system. This company offers a number of different hosting plans including shared, VPS, dedicated, and reseller hosting. They also offer full service domain services including registration, transfer, and renewal.
Overall, they offer a 99.9% uptime on all of their servers. A quick search for what other people have said about their uptime I was not able to find anything significant, but there does not seem to be any negative customer complaints on their webpage or on a few of their social media pages.
This company offers an SMS telephone hosting package that also include email, unlimited site/phone traffic, and other varying features. Their shared hosting options start with their economic plan with 500 MB of disk space and unlimited emails, bandwidth, and MySQL databases. Reseller “starter” options start with 4GB of disk space and unlimited emails, bandwidth, website traffic, and many other unlimited features.
Virtual private server options start with 5gb of disk space and the same unlimited features as their other hosting options. Additionally, they offer dedicated server options starting with 4GB of RAM, an optional 10GB of RAID disk space, 3 dedicated IP addresses and more. Domain services include registration, transfer, and renewal, as is common with other hosting sites. All packages are upgradeable depending on your power needs.
Their telephone and live chat support is available only Monday through Friday from 10am to 6pm. Through their customer portals, you may submit a support ticket which will be answered by one of their trained technicians. They do not specify ticket response time, especially outside of their regular live support hours.
Economic shared hosting plans start at 6LEI ($1.46US) per month and increase from their depending on your disk space needs. With all of their shared hosting packages, you get a domain registered for free if you pay for your plan for one year. Reseller hosting plans start at 36LEI ($8.78US) a month. All of their hosting plans come with “deals”, such as buy 6 months, get 1 month free, or buy a year of hosting but actually only pay for 10 months, and 6 months free if you pay 2 years in advance. Virtual private servers are also relatively inexpensive starting at only 30LEI ($7.32US) a month.
You really are only paying for disk space when they offer so many unlimited features with all of their packages. Their domain registration services start relatively cheap and cost only $8.05US a year for a .com registration. However, they offer .com.ro, .org.ro and other Romanian based domains to be purchased outright for only $33US as a one-time payment. Overall, this is a site that is way less expensive than other hosting sites, however, you do get the downfall of servers being hosted overseas, unless you are already based in Romania.
Xenon Host is a straight forward, relatively inexpensive hosting option based out of Romania. They do not offer 24/7 support, but they have many package options with many unlimited features, and all at a very cheap price.
