Bitstop Network Services has been around for quite a while now. They are based in the Phillippines and offer a wide range of different hosting packages to choose from. The site is very well designed and easy to navigate, but while writing this review it was VERY slow to load. Granted, the site is physically on the other side of the world, but the load time was quite extreme. This may have been a fluke, but it is never a good sign when a hosting site loads slowly. Once you get past that, however, you’ll see that they have quite a few nice features and seem to be a good option for most people who are targeting a Philippine audience. Another nice thing is that the site is in English so you don’t need to translate it.
Uptime & Reliability
Good reputation for quality hosting
While they don’t really market any type of uptime guarantee, they also don’t have any issues that I have been able to find. Existing and former customers seem like they were happy with the overall uptime of the company. As I mentioned above, the site does load extremely slowly for me, but it is possible that there is just something going on at the time I am writing this review.
Features
Excellent selection of good features
The features offered by this company area quite nice. They have just about every type of hosting you’ll want including shared, VPS, dedicated and cloud hosting options. Within each of these categories they have several options to choose from. The company is more than just a web hosting provider, though that does seem to be their main service. They also offer internet connectivity options, email hosting, audio streaming, network monitoring, SEO and more. When you look at the different packages you will notice that they don’t offer any unlimited services. For basic shared hosting you start out with 2 gigs of bandwidth and only 512 meg of disk space. This can go up significantly as you move up to higher packages. Overall, these are not going to be too restrictive for most people, but depending on the type of site you are running, it is important to be aware of.
Support
24/7 Premium Support
All packages come with their 24/7 premium support. They were so good with their support that they were given a 5 star ‘excellent service’ award by the staff here at HostAdvice. While you won’t likely have too many problems, this company is there to help you in case you do.
Pricing
Typical hosting prices
All their pricing is in the Philippine currency, but based on my conversion calculations the prices are fairly typical for what you’re getting. If you start signing up for some of their other services it can get expensive, but the bottom line with this company seems to be that you will get what you pay for.
Summary
Very easy to work with hosting option
If you’re looking for a hosting company that can help you target a Philippine audience, this is not a bad option to consider. They have lots of different options to choose from, and you’ll almost certainly find exactly what you need. Pros:
- Lots of options
- Many extra services to choose from
Cons:
- No unlimited plans
- Site is loading slowly for me
- No listed uptime guarantee
