AdriaHost.rs is one of Serbia’s leading web hosting provider, having been in business for about a decade now. They have a professional staff and office and have worked with some of the largest clients in the region, with experience ranging from web development and design to networking and everything in between.
Uptime & Reliability
Nice money back guarantees
They have a standard 30-day money back guarantee for all hosting services, as well as a 99.9% uptime guarantee. in addition, they have weekly backups to ensure your content stays safe and secure. They have data centers in both the U.S. and Europe, offering the best uplink depending on where you and your customer-base is located. They don’t have 24×7 support however.
Features
Lots of shared hosting, and many other options too
They have multiple shared hosting packages, which you have to purchase with at least a minimum commitment of one year. The basic plan has 2GB of disk space, 100GB of bandwidth, and no add-on domains, the business plan is 20GB disk and 300GB bandwidth, while the Business Plus features unlimited everything with a dedicated IP and a server that allows SSL certificates, as well as unlimited add-on domains. They also have Cloud VPS servers in three locations (New York, San Francisco, and Amsterdam), with all of them having at least 1GB of vRAM and a 30GB Solid State Drive. You can get it with up to 4GB of RAM and a 60GB SSD, to go along with 4GB bandwidth. They all feature automatic backups while being connected to a Tier-1 bandwidth 1Gbps internet link.
Adriahost also has a wide range of dedicated servers, enough to really fit anyone’s need or budget. Server CPU’s range from the low-end Core Duo S to Dual Quad Core L processors. There are both SSD and SATA disk drives available, with standard bandwidth at 5TB (but available up to 100), and RAM ranging from 1GB to 32GB. They also offer audio hosting, which I just consider too expensive. You can pick the audio quality and amount of listeners, and you get a free copy of the Centova Control Panel. They also have servers with unlimited monthly bandwidth and much faster speeds, ut they aren’t a margin themselves.
They even have managed backup options, which are done weekly, stored in their secure datacenter, done completely automatically, and you can even get the service if you don’t have a hosting account with them. In addition, they have SMS marketing options as well as a free website migration offer for all hosting packages purchased with them.
Support
Tech support only open limited hours
They don’t have a support phone line and they make a point about it, as they like to get everything done via the ticket system with all communication on record. They have a ticket system that answers questions only on weekdays during business hours, but they monitor their servers 24 hours a day. They also sell additional “premium support” packages, which I’m not a fan of. They do have FAQ’s all over their page, for each of their services, as well a broad overall FAQ page AND a very information knowledge base. A lot of companies nowadays will just combine them but never have a good FAQ about their services, and they do. A lot of people online are saying that it’s unfortunate they only answer tickets during business hours, as its really not 24/7 support. They DO have a phone number you can contact however, to ensure you of their legitimacy, but it’s not a technical support line.
Pricing
A wide range of pricing options
The basic shared package (2GB disk/100GB bandwidth) starts at 17€ ($20) for the entire year, while the business plan costs 46€ ($54) for the year, and the business plus (unlimited everything) for 93€ ($110) a year. In addition, there, are huge discounts if you purchase more than one year. For example, for the basic plan, two years only costs 4 euro more, coming out to a total of 21€ ($25) for two years, or 0.88€ ($1) per month, or the unlimited plan goes from 7.75€ ($9.20) per month (93€/$110 a year) to 4.91€ ($5.80) per month (118€/140 for two years). As for Cloud VPS servers, they start at 30€ ($36) per month, as well as 45€($53) for the medium plan or 70€($83) for the top plan. They are hefty prices, but they aren’t outrageous and meet up with the quality of the servers. As a European company, they also have to add an additional 20% VAT to the final price, making it even more expensive.
The dedicated servers aren’t exactly cheap, but there are enough ones to really get a customized option. For 69€($82) you can get the cheapest dedicated server, which only features 1GB of RAM and a 160GB disk drive. My favorite plan costs 129€($153), and has 8GB of RAM, a Quad Core L CPU, and 4x 500GB SATA disk drives, a heck of a good deal especially for the cost. If you care about the Audio Hosting prices, they start at 10€($12) for low quality streaming with only 50 listeners. For 128kbps audio with 100 listeners, you’re already talking about 50€ ($60) per month. For the large streaming plans, you’re talking about prices starting at 199€($236) and going all the way up to 1099€($1300) just per month. If you’re in the audio streaming business, you can get cheaper broadcasting rates.
They’re currently offering a pretty sweet deal, get one year of free hosting when you purchase three. That would bring these already low hosting prices even lower!
Summary
Great shared and VPS plans
I really like their shared hosting plans, they’re all affordable and come with plenty of features. They’ve been around a while and are pretty reliable, so you don’t have to worry about any problems with them. Also, I really love Cloud VPS’ so I must say their plans are not bad. What I don’t like is that they make you purchase a year of the hosting plans. You also can’t order some services without filling out a contact form first. If you’re in Serbia or nearby, they are easily one of the top hosts in the region, but even if you’re outside of there, they offer some good reasons to sign up for them.
