Nice Hosting
Muzaffer Bhat,
8.8
I host a blog site http://digitalbhat.com with GoDaddy and found it satisfactory. I recommend this host to all on merit basis and overall experience I had with the service provider.
Great Service
John Howard,

Digital Ocean is a highly customisable cloud hosting service with reasonable rates. The only drawback for non-technical customers is you will need to configure your server VIA the command-line – the good thing is Digital Ocea... More n has easy to follow documentation that shows you how to do this among many other things. Less

Their hosting and customer service used to be good but is very poor now. Over two hour on-hold time.
Frederick Berry,

I have been a customer since 2014. Their customer service standards are poor at best. Their on-hold time is poor at best with hold times of two hours. Today was worse - after holding for 1:58 mins for a rep to pick up, he ... More talked for 3 mins then went away. Fifteen mins later it shows we are still on the phone but he is no where to be found. VERY POOR!!!! Less
Good plan prices with bad customer service
David Littlefield,
5.6
I will say that they have good plan prices. You will need to already know how to manage a server. If you don't have to interact with their customer service team then it's great.
The customer service at Digital Ocean is an unp... More leasant mess for the following reasons:
1. It's inconsistent: You receive replies from different people every time in the same email thread.
2. It's uncoordinated: You receive identical template responses from different customer service representatives in the same email thread.
3. It's insincere: You are given offers to provide technical assistance without them following through.
4. It's inefficient: You literally have to interact with 5 to 10 customer service representatives to answer a simple question.
5. It's self-promoting: You receive are sent paragraphs of sales copy during your customer service request without having first received any customer service.
6. It's questionable: You receive responses that repeatedly avoid or completely ignore answering simple questions about performance capabilities.

Winner: Digital Ocean

Idan Cohen Marketing Expert

Both Digital Ocean and GoDaddy are in the ‘mid-tier’ of hosting solutions, each offering good options to their customers. While GoDaddy is by far the better known company of the two, they actually don’t perform quite as good in almost any area. Digital Ocean offers better reliability, lower prices, and more features for all their customers. They also have a better overall user rating. Digital Ocean also serves people throughout Europe, where GoDaddy does not operate. For these reasons, and many others, Digital Ocean is named as the winner in this comparison.
