I had a VPS that failed to boot from the beginning on software restart, by trying to boot from network, then failing with a message that the boot disk...
was not found. The only chance to restart the server was to power it off and boot it from administration panel, that was pretty slow. From January, this solution starts booting going to bootloader in about 4-5 minutes. I've tried a lot with their support, at one point it seems that worked, but failed again, and they said there is no configuration problem. But my server still fails to find the disk on warm boot. I kept it 6 months, because I made the mistake to pay on this period from the beginning. I don't know for other services, but for VPS, sorry, no.
