Step 1 – Selecting The Product Type
This first step when creating a Grouped Product is to select the product type. To accomplish this login to Magento Admin Area/backend.
Click on Products and select Inventory then go to Catalog.
Click the triangle in the upper right corner of the Add Product Tab and select the Grouped product from the dropdown list.
Step 2 – Selecting The Product Templates
There are two ways to pick a product template. You can search the desired template in the Search box or select the template you want to use from the list.
Step 3 – Filling Out The Required Fields
Next, fill in the information for the grouped product. Enter the Product Name and the default SKU for the product or provide an alternative value.
By now you are almost done, but your product is not ready to publish. In the Enable Product select No.
The product group comprises individual products, and for this reason, the Quantity field is unavailable. Skip this section and assign your product to the desired category. Here, you have several options to find an ideal product category:

- Click Show List to view the category tree and click on the category you want.
- Alternatively, you can create a new category. Enter the Category Name and assign it to a Parent Category then click Create Category.

Step 4 – Adding The Grouped Products
At the bottom right side of the product details, click Add Product To Group. This will take you to a new page, with options to filter the products:

Next, Upload an image for your Grouped product. In the Images and Videos click on the Camera Icon to browse and find your desired image. Alternatively, drag an image from your PC and drop in the Camera icon area.
Step 5 – Generating the Product
Set the Enable Product button to Yes when the product is ready for publishing. The click the Arrow Icon on the save tab and select Save & Close option.
That’s it! You have successfully created a grouped product in Magento. To view the Grouped Product in your Online Store. Click on the arrow icon on the Admin details and select Customer View from the dropdown list.
