Step 1- Signing Up For Google Analytics.
To sign up for a new Google Universal Analytics account, go Google Analytics official page and click the Analytics tab in the top right corner of the page.
Then, log in to your Gmail account. If you don’t have one, start by creating it.
Once you have successfully logged in to your Gmail account, click Sign up to access your account.
Step 2 - Connecting The Magento Website To Google Analytics
To connect your store to Google Analytics, enter Magento store details including the website name, account name, and website URL, etc. Once you have provided these details, tap the Get Tracking ID button.
Then press the I Accept button to accept the terms and conditions.
Now Magento store will be successfully connected to Google Analytics and you will access the Tracking ID page, Make sure you copy the Tracking ID.
Step 3 - Setting The Magento Configuration.
Now go to your Magento 2 service and log in to the Admin panel. To do so, click the Stores tab. Under the Settings bar, select Configuration.
Then under Sales, select Google API.
On this page, click the Google Analytics section and do the following:
- Enable the Google Universal Analytics by selecting Yes on the checkbox

- Enter the Universal Analytics ID in the Account Number section.
