Uptime & Reliability

No obvious SLA or uptime guarantee available

Looking through their website, there is no obvious uptime guarantee or service level agreement, which is unusual.  Despite this fact, however, there doesn’t seem to be any issues related to their reliability.  Most people on their social media pages have commented on how stable their sites are, and even when people gave otherwise negative reviews, they often said that they were great when it comes to site uptime.

Features

Available features are a step above the competition

When you look through each of the hosting packages you may notice that they are all on the higher end.  You will also have access to some nice optional features if you happen to need them. In most cases, however, the standard packages will more than meet your requirements.

Some of the general features that customers will be interested in include the fully redundant network (including dual routers).  They also have dual gigabit connections to each individual rack to help not only provide stability but also very high speeds.

Regarding the packages themselves, you can choose from shared, reseller, cloud and dedicated server options.  The only place where there is some downside is in their dedicated server packages, which aren’t quite as powerful as some other hosting companies.  For example, their top end one is only a 2.13Ghz quad core, where most companies offer hex core options at this level.

Support

No 24/7 phone support available but ticketing system is responsive

When it comes to support, they don’t provide any 24/7 phone options which is unfortunate.  They encourage you to use their ticketing system, which is part of your my XILO account page.  Most people have agreed that this ticketing system is monitored closely and problems do get resolved rapidly, so overall their support is good.

Pricing

Great pricing at each level

Xilo hosting offers very fair pricing at every package level.  Even at these great prices, however, you don’t have to sacrifice on the quality of the hosting, which is nice.  The entry level shared hosting is just 3.99 Euro’s per month and you can get an entry level dedicated server for under 70 Euros.

Summary

Nice hosting provided for just about any type of website

Overall there is not too much bad to say about this hosting provider.  While they don’t stand out as the top of the pack in any one area, they do provide good hosting for just about anyone.  They are a growing company and seem to be focused on continuing to provide a great service to all their customers today and long into the future.
