Wopsa is a hosting company that is part of Cygids. Gygids is a general IT services company that can help with a wide range of different technical services. The hosting portion of this company has been in business since 2004. They operate out of Eslov in a good quality data center. This data center has full climate control, fire suppression, physical security, redundant power lines and much more.
You can use this company for full hosting, email hosting and domain registration. In addition they offer a very helpful team of technical professionals to assist with any type of issues you’re having.
Uptime & Reliability
Hosting Seems to be Stable
The hosting is done out of a nice data center that has redundant power, network connections and more. They do use good hardware that won’t likely have any issues. In addition, when looking through social media and other places where people review hosting providers I didn’t see anyone complaining about outages. Overall, this seems to be a very stable hosting company.
Features
Reasonable Hosting Features
The hosting packages with this company are all fairly reasonable. They offer shared hosting, VPS and dedicated servers too. One odd thing is the way they lay out their hosting information. It is in a small paragraph rather than a chart, which is the standard. This can make it a lot more confusing than it really needs to be.
When looking at the actual specs of each package they aren’t bad at all though. The basic package is just 2 gigs of disk space, but for a single site that is plenty. It goes up from there based on the level you choose so they will have whatever you need.
The VPS solutions are also a little confusing when looking at their features page. Everything is written out but they don’t really give all the details you’d expect to see. An experienced web master won’t have much trouble figuring it out but those who are newer may have issues.
They also have a dedicated server option. When you click into the dedicated server sales page there is a chart to look at so that is nice. There are four options to pick from, though one of them is technically a VPS so it is unclear why they have it listed here.
Support
Limited Hours
You can open a ticket and get support 24/7, but if you want to actually talk to someone on the phone or live chat you will have to wait for business hours. This is unfortunate since if they are staffing the ticketing system they should also offer other options for those who want it. I also didn’t see any type of knowledge base or self-help options out there.
Pricing
Reasonable Pricing
The pricing is all in Swedish Kronor so if you’re used to buying in dollars you’ll need to convert it. If you’re in Sweden, however, this will be nice to work in your own currency. Once converted the prices all looked to be in line with typical hosting costs that you see with other providers. Not too cheap but not expensive either.
Summary
Good Hosting with Some Concerns
While there are certainly some concerns here, the bottom line is most people will have a good experience. They could benefit greatly from updating their site to make it easier to read and understand, but even without that the service they provide is good.
Pros:
- Good Hardware
- Quality Data Center
- Lots of Options
Cons:
- Features are confusing
