Pricing is okay, but support needs to be improved and scalability should be improved too regarding backups
Better than before, but still room for improvment with support and reliability of backup processing. My backups have been failing a lot recently, maybe its just a system glitch, but I wish the system for creating backups was a bit faster and more reliable.
i have yet to have a good experience with them at all. first they state there servers are up 99.9% of the time and it has been down many times already. second i have set this up on auto pay for the monthly and i keep getting invoices stating my payment is past due and the invoice is for 5/01/2022 and the due date is for 12/01/2022 a year in the future. see example below
Your invoice is now Overdue. To avoid service interruption, please submit payment at your earliest convenience.
Minecraft Budget - Dolphin | 5GB (12/01/2022 - 11/02/2022) + Location (Changeable): New York City + Server Game Type (Changeable): Vanilla Bedrock 1.00 x$5.00 USD Late fee (15/01/2022) 1.00 x$2.50 USD Total
$7.50 USD
not that 2.50 is much bit a 50% late fee on something they shut off on me when i had to pay for it when i signed up for it. now i have asked a few times about this here and no one can answer why i am getting a bill that is due in 11 months and how i can be late and charged a late fee on something that according to there invoice is due in 11 months. now they suspended my server for now paying my 12/2022 payment and when i go to the only way to talk to customer service is chat, which there is a msg that states we are not online and that we will email you. i brought this up when the server was down at one point and was told they do not have access to billing but will have someone get back to me which they did not. so as of right now i do not recommend them at all.
It used to be good. No downtimes, runs pretty well
These days, there are numbers of issues like the host running out of storage, downtime every single day and a security breech and the nail in the coffin is that one of their locations got burnt down and they are not offering compensation for data loss.
It all started probably with the new management. The COO is a known DDoSer and obviously he joined the company. The previous manager, mxglatoya/savageresponder does absolutely nothing in the company and yet retains his rank. He even advertises his own host in his own status.
This terrible management led to staff being terrible by just being money hungry in tickets and begging you to /credit them on discord which earns them $0.50 per credit. The staff does not understand your problems and sometimes are mentally retarded like saying paper is written in python. Furthermore, The CEO had previously called his staff retarded in a vc.
Constant downtime. The constant downtime causes so much issues for tons and tons of their clients. This is mostly caused by them overselling their nodes which is why it's cheaper. Disk space is always full and sql database offered for free by the host always has problems with plugins.
The final nail in the coffin. What's better? Yeah getting thousands of your clients email and passwords leaked and having one of your probably most clients nodes which are the germany nodes.
I would not reccomend going for witherhosting as your hosting provider till these issues are fixed. They also removed my trustpilot review. censoreship? mayber.
