Shark 4 Host is a company that is based in Egypt. Their site is written in Egyptian, but most of it won’t translate properly using the tools available. While some parts do go into English, a lot won’t so I can’t get all the information I’d normally have. That beings said, there is enough to get a pretty good idea of the company.
Since this site really only displays well in Egyptian, however, it will only be something that people who speak this language will want to use. The company provides shared hosting and dedicated servers. They certainly seem to primarily focus on the shared hosting options. They have lots of different options and from what I am able to find, they do a fairly good job at meeting the needs of their customers.
You’ll likely have a very good overall experience when it comes to reliability. Their servers seem stable and they have a 99.9% uptime guarantee. I didn’t find anyone complaining about this company’s hosting, but that could be because anyone who did complain would likely do it in Egyptian.
When you look at the different options available from this company you’ll see that they have a lot to choose from. When looking at the shared hosting plans there are 10 levels, each with a different set of features. The main specs start out at 100 megs of disk space and 3 gigs of bandwidth. This goes up to 4 gigs of disk space and 200 gigs of bandwidth.
In addition to this you’ll have access to one click instalaltion of differnet scripts, CGI support, front page extensions, free backups, unlimited databases, visitor statistics and much more.
The dedicated servers page doesn’t load up properly so I can’t see the information. The error message that comes up is in another language and won’t translate so it is unclear whether they provide these services or not.
The information listed about their support services seems to be primarily in Egyptian so I can’t get all the details I would like. From what I can tell they are open 24/7 and can be reached by a ticketing system or phone. I didn’t see any type of FAQ or blog or anything to provide self-help information either.
The prices are higher than what I would expect to pay for shared hosting. First, the lowest level shared hosting option is 70 Egyptian pounds, which translates to around $9 US dollars. This is more than you should have to pay for this level of hosting.
They do offer very nice discounts if you pay annually or semi-annually. If you don’t want to do that, however, you are going to be paying somewhere around double what the industry standards are for the same specs.
If you are looking for hosting that is based in Egypt, this isn’t a bad company to consider. They have lots of options and some very nice features. There are, however, some concerns that you will want to watch out for too. Things like the high prices and the fact that the site only displays well in English, among others.
