I've had nothing but great experiences with Servercheap. Yes, they had couple of issues in the lsat 6 months like every hosting company,
but their support has resolved both issues in less the 20 minutes.
Great hosting for good price which is fast and easy to use.

I had a plan with them, 2GB VPS, paying $2.99. This month, i paid the bill. When i checked my bank account statement, i was charged twice by them (you can check the image in the link):

So i decided to c...Read Morereate a claim in Paypal, and it was approved, to revert one of the charges. Suddenly, i cannot access to my applications hosted in the VPS. I thought it was a maintenance window so i tried to access the management portal in servercheap.net. For my surprise, my account didn't exist.

Then, i contacted servercheap.net through his contact form, and half an hour later i got this email:

"Hello,

Your server has been deleted and your account closed. We do not do business with customer who open paypal payment disputes.

What kind of company is this? For filing a claim in Paypal they automatically deleted my server and my account, without considering the data i have there or applications. Why didn't they try to contact me first to solve the issue? If there was a misunderstanding i would happily reverted the claim or pay back if needed. This is the worst service i've received ever by a VPS company. I will never do business with them again. That's an unprofessional way to proceed. Delete customer information without letting customer know about it.

nobody can charge your paypal account, this is not a credit card.

if it was possible everybody will go around and charge everybody's paypal.

when you open a charge back, you get kicked out by any company. I would have kicked you out too. Nobody wants to do business with somebody who opens charge backs.

I am sure I haven't paid twice, also I disabled automatic charge in January (it happened that I got charged by automatic payment, and also I paid manually, in that case I admit I made the mistake, and because of that I didn't file...Read Mored a claim nor something similar) and I can show you proof of that.

In several companies in which I use PayPal as an intermediate for my purchases, from time to time I have had issues with payments (double payment, unsatisfied with product received or nothing received) and these companies (like Gearbest, eBay) instead of shutting my account down, reach to me to solve the issue in a diplomatic way.

I know it's not fair to compare ServerCheap with these companies as it isn't as big as them, but if they want to be a big company and succeed, they must imitate big companies actions, like give a better treatment to their customers and try to solve things looking for the best way possible for both parties (customer & company) instead of simply act in a rush doing whatever they want driven by anger.

If I would be a VPS company like ServerCheap and I faced the same situation, there's what I would do:
- Reach customer who filed PayPal claim to ask why they did that
- He/She would explain the the situation
- I would investigate if it was an issue from my side or PayPal's
- If it was my issue, clarify him/her about my fault and assuring that wouldn't happen again
- If it was PayPal's fault, engage PayPal in the situation and let customer know (the company won't go bankrupt because of having $3 late)
- If customer doesn't collaborate nor replies emails, I would send him/her a notice that, due to my policies of not doing business with people who filed claims with PayPal and not collaborates to solve issue, his/her account and all his data in VPS will be deleted in 24 hours, unless they contact me before that time (what benefit do I get by deleting account and server suddenly without noticing my customer)

That's what I would do by being a professional VPS company.

Funny thing is, you guys just focus on the fact that PayPal downstairs charge twice, that you don't see the real problem here: The unprofessional behavior of this "provider" about shutting down a service without noticing their customer and without trying to solve things in a more professional way.

Either having professional or unprofessional customers, companies have to be professional always. Because companies have a reputation to take care of. And mainly big companies, and companies that want to be big.

If you analyze closely, the reason why I had such a bad experience with them was not because they charged me twice, it was because of the bad way of proceed after that.

And, fortunately we have these websites to provide honest opinions about TRUE experiences that happens to people being customers of these companies. If you check some comments below, you will see I'm not the only one who has experienced the "charged twice* issue (unfortunately I cannot share a screenshot here to show you). That way, people can know that being customers of this company, they can experience that, or that they can be treated in an unprofessional way, or that, if they do something that this "provider" doesn't like, their data stored in VPS will be deleted suddenly without previous notice. Based on that, some potential clients will see that this company cannot be considered for something serious.

I'm using the servercheap's KVM 4GB Vps for the last few months. I must say, I'm truly impressed with the service, it's really good and reliable. I love servercheap for the following reasons.

2.) They have solid specs range for any customer from small hobbyist to huge business owner.
3.) They are truly 99.999% UP, in the last month, they were down for just few seconds and it's not even noticed by me. Best uptime vs pricing.
4.) The support team is very good, they usually answer my queries in few hours. Some cheap hosting providers have worst support, so beware. Servercheap shines well.
5.) The knowledgebase is well organized and very helpful.
6.) The server setup time was almost instant.

NOTE: Their services are mostly unmanaged, which means you should have some prior experience/knowledge on managing a vps server. They could help you only to an extent and you may not expect complete management at that price range. I find that hard to believe. Every time I open a ticket, I get a response within 15 minutes. I have been a customer for 6 months. Are you a customer with them or are you trying to contact them for a pre sales question.

I am a customer. I was using their service for about 2 months before I had been mistakenly charged twice. They haven't given me a response on the subject since.

But thats not really possible with them. They use WHMCS, and if you are paying by credit card, then their system will automatically charge it on your due date. If you dont want to be charged you simply cancel your server before yo...Read Moreur due date. If you are using paypal, you have to manually pay they invoice. Nobody can charge your paypal account. If you have setup an automatic subscription, then your paypal account will automatically send them money every month. It is your responsibility to monitor that. Then send you multiple emails before that.

What happened to me was that when I signed up I setup an automatic paypal subscription, and then forgot about it and manually paid the invoice. Then my paypal automatically send them money few days later as per the automatic subscription, which was expected. So I did pay my invoice twice. I opened a ticket and they refunded the extra payment in 30 minutes.

I feel like you are not telling the whole story here. Their support respond to me within the hour at max. My friend also has services with them and have no issues.
