I am surprised at the bad and rude support. I think they are adrift and totally inexperienced. I have never received such rude responses from any other provider, less to a basic question about what is the average network speed on vps servers. Terrible experience.
I find their marketing very misleading. I signed up for the service (over other providers) because their website said "7 Day Money Back. Try us risk free for 7 days. If you are not satisfied for any reason, we will grant a full refund, no questions asked". Well, read the fine print. It's only the first server. I ordered a few. The TOS is buried much farther down the UX flow. When I asked for my money back after < 2 days, they gave me a very strongly worded rejection followed by an even ruder response. Clearly, I was not trying to abuse their service, they just convinced me to buy more with their "guarantee". If you are a current customer, be warned that their support may get hostile. Never had such a rudely written support message before in recent memory. They should be called "ServiceCheap".
I had servercheap.net as a solution, there was a problem with their image on Ubunut 18.04 that would not allow me to change the hostname. I ope the ticket and the support person replies with a googled article that explains how to change it. However, I already knew how to change it, i kept changing it, tried it 10 times before opening a ticket. Every time I would reboot it would revert it back to the same Ubuntu18 hostname. So, I responded to the ticket explaining that they didn't read my ticket, but they said the case was closed and I needed to follow the link. I replied again, told him I did follow the document but after rebooting it would still revert. So, they band me from their service and destroyed 30gb of data that I cannot get back.
I switched to servercheap from digitalocean and never looked back. 100% uptime in 4 month speaks for itself, even digitalocean couldn't do that, and on top I am paying 50% less. Recommended!
Do NOT use ServerCheap. Their network is extremely congested as they seem to be overselling. This is not the worst part though, the worst part is that they offer no money-back guarantee. I contacted their support less than an hour after placing the order to have the instance canceled and be issued a full refund, they ended up canceling the instance and rejecting my refund request!
I am escalating this issue with PayPal and if I don't get my money back I'll consider it a small fee for a lesson learned. From now, any hosting service with no money-back guarantee is a sketchy one and should be avoided regardless of what good promotions they have. It is a trap!
I have been with Servercheap.NEt since January 2019. I have had no downtime except their scheduled maintenance, which brings my website uptime to 100% for the last 12 month. Great host and 100% recommended.
I have been using servercheap.net for quite a year now. They really go with there domain tag. Super cheap VPS. On top of that you get 20% discount. Unmetered bandwidth, IPv6 Supported and SSD drives for better IO. Quickly launch VPS with no delay. Remote Console over SSL. ISO OS installers supported and there comes your freedom.
