I bought hosting and a domain. Then I was told I wouldn't be given what I purchased unless I gave them a picture of my credit card. I don't have time for this LMAO. If you asked for a picture before charging, you might have had a customer. But holding my money for "4-45 days" is ridiculous.
We apologize for the inconvenience but please note that all reputable companies do that. It is a normal practice to do credit card verification nowadays. We get multiple orders with stolen cards on daily basis. That's why we have to be sure you own the card you paid with. We do have order verification like any other reputable web hosting company. Everyone knows why such procedures are in place - to avoid fraud. This review should be just removed because there is nothing to comment about it.
I don't think it should be removed. It is an actual show of exactly the type of poor service you get at Scala Hosting. I started Scala Hosting reseller account fifteen days ago, all my customers has been reported to be in a spam list.
They use IP 78.142.63.74, it have a lot rbl's every day. Multiple support tickets sended, a lot of delist replied, and to be again listed in RBL's. They said that they cancelled spam accounts, but after that, the problem have been repeating every three days.
I must to migrate to another server.

Xavier, the IP was blocked in blacklists due to vulnerable/outdated scripts hosted on the server and being compromised. One of the accounts that were used to send SPAM was owned by you. It is curious that for two weeks you have replied all tickets sent, and now that I decided to migrate to another hosting, and after you have do nothing about this problem, you have detected spam in my account. The mail queues of all servers are checked every minute and if someone starts sending SPAM we get alerted and login to the server to take the necessary actions and stop the spamming. Sometimes the IP gets blocked as it happened in your case. On a shared server where multiple web sites share the same IP address such issues can be expected. The fact you didn't see the problem with another company is just because of luck. We manage thousands of servers and 99.99% of our clients do not have the problem you experienced. I was client from scala from 5 years. Right now the service it's a nighmare. I'm a reseller with 5 sites. All my sites are down. I reported 5 times at day from last 3 days. The do nothing. When the server is "alive" they answer "I can see your sites" , but the problems is all sites have several offline periods. Go away from this provider. They dont listen you.
