This company is primarily focused on Indonesian customers, and their site is not written in English so even with it translated it is sometimes hard to figure out exactly what they are offering. It is also difficult to gather information from users since much of what they write is not in English. That being said, however, the overall opinion of this hosting company seems to be mostly positive.
They offer shared hosting as well as VPS options and have quite a few nice little extra features. They also host some big name companies (or at least the websites of these companies for that part of the world) including ACE hardware, Toys Kingdom, Kraft and more.
They do serve US customers and have a data center in the US as well as one in Indonesia and one in Singapore. This clearly allows people in Indonesia and the surrounding areas to have quality hosting for sites that are targeting other parts of the world.
Rumahweb offers a 99.9% uptime guarantee, though I was unable to tell exactly what you get in the event that they don’t meet that standard. Another good indication that they are offering reliable service is that they have three data centers, so you’re able to be hosted near your target audience.
Rumahweb has a lot of nice features including auto-installers for some of the most common content management systems, free website migration from other hosts, cPanel, and more. They also offer a good variety of different hosting packages to choose from.
Their shared hosting options seem to have all the standard features that you would expect to get, as does their VPS hosting. From what I can tell, they don’t have fully dedicated servers.
They also offer the latest versions of PHP and MySQL for all their hosting packages.
They offer ‘always there’ 24/7 support for all their customers. In addition, they are promoting the fact that they offer iPhone & BlackBerry based support, which is somewhat unusual but a nice little perk. It also appears that they have an online ticketing system for their customers to access.
Their pricing is all listed in Rupees, so I am unable to exactly compare them with other hosting companies. They do market their services as being very affordable, however, and the few other comments I have been able to find in English did say that they were priced properly so that is a good sign.
Overall I haven’t been able to find anything really negative about this hosting company, but that may be just because I haven’t been able to find much on it at all. Everything points to the fact that they provide good quality hosting for people in their area.
