The company has been around since 1987 and has been growing and adapting over the years as web technologies have changed. Today they offer web hosting, web development & design, eMail help, photo hosting and much more. The company has a focus on customer service and staying ahead of the curve in regards to the ever changing technologies that they work with.
They do have a good 99.99% uptime guarantee, which is above the industry standards. They operate out of a very nice data center in Seattle, Washington. The data center has fully redundant systems in place for power, networks and more so you aren’t likely to have any major outages impacting your site. They don’t give much information about the type of hardware they use though, which is something many people would like to know about.
This company offers their web hosting through Dreamersl. You’ll get a free domain name, excellent reliability, good web stats and much more when you sign up with them. They also offer help with a good content management system, themes and more. What is odd with their page is that they don’t provide you very much information about specific hosting services. They really just have one package which has 10 gigs of disk space and allows up to 10 email accounts. Beyond that, they don’t let you know any specific features until you get through the ordering process or you contact their tech support. This is not a good way of doing things and makes it more difficult than it needs to be.
The tech support is on site at the data center to provide you with the assistance you need. They encourage you to either call them on the phone or use their support email to get in touch with them. It does not say whether or not they have a ticketing system, which is a little odd. In terms of a blog or knowledge base, they have nothing so you won’t be getting any self-help information with this hosting company.
They give you two options when it comes to the web hosting packages. The first one is $25 per month and the other is $250 per year. The features are exactly the same so you can essentially save two months worth of price if you pay annually. For some people this is a good way to save money. The fact is, however, that no matter how you pay for it, the hosting is over priced. This is just a basic shared hosting package and it is costing you about 4 times more than what you’d expect to pay with other companies.
To put it simply, this is really only a good option for hosting if you are using the other services that they offer too. For example, if you hired them to create your business website it may make sense to also use their hosting since it will consolidate bills and expenses. If you’re only looking for hosting, however, there are other options with better hosting for lower prices.
