MyWeb is a shared hosting provider based in Greece. They provide a very nice hosting option for people who need good quality shared hosting. Of course, since they don’t offer higher level hosting solutions, your growth may be limited. Most sites, however, will never need to outgrow shared hosting so this is only an issue for a limited number of people.
They have won a variety of awards for their service, including the HostAdvice Excellent Service award. They are also used by some top sites such as the official website of the Church of Greece, Hyundai’s Greek page and others. These bigger name sites do lend credibility to the ability of this company to meet your needs.
You’re only going to get a 99% uptime guarantee. Most companies provide a 99.9% uptime guarantee, and when it comes to hosting solutions, the .9% extra is actually significant. Fortunately, however, it seems that this company does provide good quality hosting so you won’t likely need to worry about it at all. it is nice, however, to have a good guarantee should a problem arise.
They only offer shared hosting solutions, which does provide some limitations. Even within their shared options there are some limits that people won’t like. First, they only offer Windows based hosting, no Linux. This is unfortunate because most people actually prefer Linux. Their disk space and bandwidth limits are not bad at all and will be more than enough for most people.
For the entry level and mid level packages they limit you on how many email addresses you can create, which is odd. They also have limits on how many data bases you can make at all levels, which seems overly restrictive. They do have internet marketing services, web development services, graphic design and more available if you should need it.
The support section of their webiste doesn’t provide too much information. From what I have been able to find when browsing social media and other webmaster locations is that they do support sites quite well, which is good. It would be nice, however, if they put more information up about it on their website so it was easier to learn about. They do have a good blog with some helpful information in it as well.
The pricing is a little below average, which is nice. Their starter package is just 2 Euro per month. The standard package is 6 and the professional package is 10. These prices are all slightly lower than what other companies usually offer so if cost is a major concern, this is a good option for you. Also, however, note that some of their other services like graphic design and internet marketing services will cost extra.
Overall this company provides a nice entry level hosting solution. They do a good job at keeping their customers happy and most people won’t have any issues. There are, however, some concerns that may make some people take pause before moving forward. These include the limits on emails, databases and the lack of Linux.
