MundoIT is based in Peru and provides shared hosting services to all of their customers. While the company is headquartered in Peru, and that is where most of their customers are from, they have their data center in Houston, TX. From what I can tell, this data center is not owned by them, but they lease the servers space for all their customers.
If you speak English, you will have to translate their website, which leaves the text somewhat awkward to read. For their customers in Peru, this is not an issue of course. It has, however, made it somewhat difficult to gather the necessary information and determine exactly what it is they are offering. This is also true of most of their social media accounts and other areas where I visited to gather information.
Regardless of that, however, it seems that they have a good reputation for hosting in Peru. Their target audience seems to be mostly those from that part of the world who may want to target North American customers, since their data center is in Texas.
Uptime & Reliability
Very reliable hosting
The company offers a 99.99% uptime guarantee, which is quite nice. I looked around on multiple sites and social media platforms and wasn’t able to find much by way of actual customer experiences. Those I did see seemed to be happy with the services that they were receiving. A couple of comments mentioned slower load speeds, but with so few to compare it to, that could be a fluke. Of course, it could also be an indication that they are overselling their servers.
Features
Simple features for shared hosting
This company is targeting mostly small to maybe medium sized websites, and they seem to know that advanced features are not always needed. They do have everything that you’ll need to get up and running without a problem, and they also have some nice extra features, but not as many as some companies with higher level services offer.
You can choose from Linux or Windows servers, which is nice. They also provide Kaspersky anti-virus software for all their websites.
Support
Peru based support teams
The main technical support and customer service teams are out of Peru, which means they likely don’t speak English. Of course, for customers within Peru, this can certainly be a good thing. They have a phone number to call in for support, and you can also use their email or ticketing system if you choose.
They have quite a few online tutorials and guides that you can use, which is nice. It is hard to tell just how high quality they really are though as I’m looking at translations, which can be confusing.
Pricing
Somewhat confusing pricing structure
MundoIT has several shared hosting packages to choose from, but their pricing is a little confusing. They list their prices both in Soles (the currency of Peru) and in US dollars. The price, however, is listed at $71.43 for their lowest level package. It seems this is per year, but that is still quite expensive for this level of hosting. The prices only go up from there, so if you’re looking to save money, there are better options out there.
Summary
Hosting focused on Peru based customers
If you are looking for a company that operates out of Peru, this is one of only a few that I have found. They do seem to give reliable hosting with few issues, so you should have a good experience. If you are not from Peru, however, there are likely better options out there.
Pros:
- Hosted in quality data center
- 99.99% uptime
- Plenty of shared packages to choose from (but not so many as to be confusing)
Cons:

- Not in Ensligh
