Respected Colombian Hosting Company
Mundonet is a Colombia based hosting company that has been in business since 2004. They were founded with the intent to serve the people and businesses of Latin America and the Caribbean with high quality hosting services. They are still a smaller hosting company, but they seem to do a good job servicing their clients.
They offer some nice hosting solutions beginning with traditional web hosting. They also have things like print networks and radio streaming for companies or individuals who need it. Overall, they are an easy company to work for. Their website is fast to load and organized to make it quick and easy to get exactly what you need.
If you're looking for hosting in Colombia, this is a good place to consider as long as you don't need anything too powerful.Read More
Uptime & Reliability
Little Information but Seems Stable
From what I have been able to find this company seems to offer very stable hosting solutions for their customers. I did read one person say that their site had some periods of slowness. This can be an indication that the company oversells their servers, which is a very common practice for shared hosting providers. The person didn't say what package he used or anything, or what type of site he ran so this is very little to go by.
Other reviews I have seen have shown that they are stable and do a good job of keeping your site up and running at all times.
Basic Shared Hosting
This company only offers shared hosting and reseller hosting options so your features are limited in that way. Within the shared hosting list of options, they do offer all your typical hosting features, so you won't really be lacking in any way with that. The disk space limitations are quite reasonable, starting at 500MB and going up to 100GB. Bandwidth is fine as well, though at the low end it is only 1500 MB which may be too low for some sites.
They use the cPanel control panel system, which is what most people prefer. They also offer full compatibility with things like WordPress, phpBB, Zen Cart, vBulletin and many other popular systems. Overall, for an inexpensive hosting provider that is focused on shared hosting, their features are quite respectable.
Quality Hosting Support
This company has their own internal support team there and ready to help you. They are easy to get in touch with using their online chat option, ticketing system or email. The reviews I have seen have said that they do a good job of responding fast and getting issues fixed right away.
The pricing starts at just $1 per month for their entry level packages. It goes up over the five packages until it hits the $5.95 mark, which is their most expensive shared hosting option. This is still very affordable and makes them a good company for those looking to save money on their monthly hosting bills. I didn't see anywhere that says you get a discount for paying a year in advance or anything, which is unusual. It is possible that they only market that once you get into the ordering phase.
Nice Hosting Option
For those who just need basic shared hosting solutions in the Colombia region, this is not a bad option to consider. They are quite inexpensive and seem to offer all that you'll need to run your site. Even with the one complaint of occasional slowness this company will likely provide you with a good overall experience.
- Low cost hosting
- Easy to use most CMS's
- No uptime guarantee
- One complaint of intermittent slowness
