Expert Overview
Quality Hosting Solutions
MadGB is a diverse web hosting company that provides a lot of great options at a reasonable price. To be sure, they are not the cheapest around, but they are focused on quality more than just low costs. Despite that, however, they don’t over charge you at all for what you’re getting. They really do a good job at keeping that balance between cost and quality right where you’ll want it.
There are hosting options for shared hosting, VPS and dedicated servers as well as reseller options so you’ll be able to find the right option for you no matter what it is you’re looking for. Overall, this is a nice company to work with and an excellent option to consider for all your hosting needs. MadGB provides domain name registration as well as hosting so you can keep everything in one location.
Uptime & Reliability
Excellent Reliability
MadGB offers a 99.99% uptime guarantee for their hosting, which is very good. All their hosting is based on good quality hardware, which is the most important part of good hosting services. They are located in a high end data center with redundant network and power systems so you aren’t likely to have any type of outage take place. With their enterprise level dedicated servers they have additional options for even better reliability.
Features
Great Packages & Many Nice Features
You can choose from any type of hosting you need and you’ll have all the great features you want available. For their shared hosting solutions you can choose from either Linux or Windows and within each of these options you can choose whether you want to host just one domain or many. Once you’ve gotten that far you have three packages within each category to select from. They all contain plenty of disk space and band width (starting at 3 gigs and going up from there). They also have free cloud backup either weekly or daily depending on the package you select.
When you move up to the VPS options you’ll have plenty of options to choose from here too. The VPS’s are setup as ‘cloud’ VPS’s meaning you get a dedicated amount of hardware but it is spread over multiple physical servers. This can add additional reliability and speed. The feature list ranges greatly from package to package, as does the price. This is nice for VPS’s because it allows everyone to get exactly what they need.
Next, the dedicated server options. Here you’ll have three main options for your base server but it can be configured from there. The hardware is all high end and you get a powerful server for the price. Dedicated servers have a four hour deployment time, which is quite fast.
Support
Great Tech Support 24/7
Their technical support is very professional and easy to work with. They can be reached through live chat, email or a nice ticketing system. The tech teams don’t seem to speak English as a first language, but they are easy to understand so you shouldn’t have any trouble.
Pricing
Fair Prices
Their pricing is far from the cheapest, but it is not a bad deal because of the great hosting services you will be getting. The shared hosting packages start at $2.95/month, which is not bad at all. They go up as high as $9.95, which is still a pretty good deal. You do get a free IP and domain with all packages, which makes it an even better deal.
VPS hosting starts as low as $25 per month for the Linux based 1 gig package. For an 8 gig package (that is 8 gigs of ram, by the way) you will pay $15 per month. The hardware in the servers being used is all enterprise grade so you’ll have a great experience.
Finally, the dedicated servers. Single processor machines start at $130 and go up as you adjust the number of CPU cores, RAM options and more. Dual processors start at $179. Quad processors start at $1400 (this starts with 128 gigs of RAM and can go up to 1 TB!). Just to be clear, that is the number of physical processors, not cores. Each processor can have up to eight cores within it. These prices are quite reasonable for what you are getting.
There are some add on options for dedicated servers. Server management is $35 per month, firewalls are $199. The best option, and one that most hosting providers don’t offer, is load balancing (meaning you can have two or more physical servers available to balance the load for added speed and reliability) is $99 per month (plus the cost of whatever extra server you need).
Summary
One of the Best Hosting Companies
If you’re looking for one of the best and most reliable hosting experiences out there, this is it. These are perfect hosting solutions for mid to large companies and corporations that don’t want to manage their own web services.
