I recommend them to people all the time. No one has ever come back to me with complaint. I love these guys! I will say though, I have noticed that the last two times I have contacted them they were a little less forthcoming with help that wasn't directly MacHighway (Wordpress.) I was disappointed when a (female) support person said, "I'll help you with this time, but we really only offer MacHighway support." Yea, I get it, and I understand, but I don't have to like it.Less

Gone way downhill

It seems unless you are only looking for something simple and never need tech help then Mac Highway isnt for you. Ever since they were sold its really been a struggle to get issues resolved.

I've been a client of MH for many years and when they were smaller they cared more. They were so very helpful any time we had any questions at all and our issues were often resolved within a day or so. Now its been days and two of my quite real issues are still unresolved and it also seems like they try to do everything in their power to either place the blame on the client or pass it off onto a 3rd party. One issue was faulty billing (they blamed me) - I receive the reminders and invoices and pay them in full immediately as I am reminded but somehow one service was not sent and I didnt realize I was paying for a service I had not used ever - in fact its associated domain had expired 3 years earlier. They blamed me for not using their reminder to pay to cancel service when I explained I only received reminder notices on all the rest of my services but this one. I dont even see how thats possible,.

Another issue is I purchased another domain name last week and ever since my cell phone, email and texting have been non stop bombarded with spammers and sales callers. I have purchased several domains over the years with several companies and this is a first. Its literally all night and all day 7 days a week. Annoying and rude. Of course no call from MH even though I requested one.

Another current issue is that I decided to try their trial free offer to use Weebly on my new domain which I wished to be a sub domain to another site. Someone did manage to assist me with that - attaching the two - (Tim I believe) and he was quick to help and very polite and patient - however when the graphics didnt show up - again the blame was placed upon me or weebly - all I did was follow their articles on how to use the software. When I wrote about the problem again someone overnight (Silvester) made changes which did make those graphics appear - however - he also covered up our original site and only 3 of the pages worked on the new one which wasnt to be public just yet. It took until last night for Zack to help me put up the SITE DOWN page. Now I am stuck. I cannot update either site. It says - access denied. AND still not a word from anyone for over 24 hours on that ticket.

Only a couple people have been any real help this week and at least helped me to get a SITE DOWN page placed on our still not operable website. My list of issues is too long to list here but I am working on migrating all domains and hosted sites elsewhere even if it costs me more. Its sad because they really did used to be the perfect solution for all of our needs. I will really miss working with them but those days are long gone since the sale....I am not worth their resources it seems. I must be too time consuming and it seems they prefer soccer mom with her cupcake recipe page.

Just understand your needs and if too complicated go elsewhere. I am sorry to have to post a non positive review. Normally I review places I like. This time its a company I used to like.

This does not sound like a good experience at all and I apologize for that. If you reopen your ticket with a good time to reach you we will contact you via phone to go over your issues and concerns. Again, I do apologize for the troubles and inconveniences.
SO I did as requested and reopened the ticket - asked for help - received none. The support techs gave me the runaround and never resolved my many issues - so I left.

Now they refuse to refund my pre paid account money. Its onl...Read Morey due to poor customer service and all the above issues why I left. It was a huge PIA so not something I wanted to do but their quality and level of support forced it.

MH no longer allows users to post on their FB page since the sale of the company - My guess is that the page would be too full of complaints - They are quite happy to steal peoples money and feel good about how they operate a business. THIS is why we left! After many years of excellent customer service and support they now care only about the money. All other companies refund in full or partially unused credits on pre-paid hosting packages - only MH doesn't. THIS is not good business - no timely replies on email or tickets - yet the money gets taken quickly doesnt it. I've been trying to cancel all my services for 3 weeks - still pending....I pre paid in hopes things would get better - they are worse than ever - I left and moved all domains and sites and am quite happy now except I lost a BUNCH of pre paid payments on their table...seems they prefer online complaints to happy customers. Maybe had they been more attentive to long time customers they would not have lost so excellent ones - all they want are those who use very little of their time, easy customers who dont really need much so they just take the money and do no work....Shame MH!

I'm sad to be leaving because I've been with this company since it was launched as ItsaMac. But as George Harrison said, "All things must pass."
I suspect MacHighway will pass as well because they are terrible now. Stay away. Run away screaming in fact.

I had to keep calling and asking for the new account info, the cpanel, user name, etc. They didn't send it. Finally someone cut and pasted it into a support ticket. The new domain and hosting package don't work. They had me do a traceroute. I did. They don't respond. I keep asking them to get it up and running. Nothing but an occasional email that says "we're escalating this. we'll be in touch." This morning, with the deadline at midnight tonight, seeing that they had no intention of fixing the existing domain/hosting package that I paid for, and never worked, I bought another domain name and hosting package as a temporary fix, so the site can be up and running by midnight. THEY WONT SEND THE NEW ACCOUNT INFORMATION. I don't have the cpanel info, nothing. I finally get ahold of customer support and a little girl named Jessica said she sent it. I waited. Nothing. She said I sent it. It isn't coming. "Check your spam." Lady, your other invoices get here just fine. Then I ask her to cut and paste the information into another email at the office, and send that. She can't. I ask for a supervisor. There's no one on the floor. Is there anyone in the building? No. NO ONE? NO. But I can "escalate this" to my boss tomorrow morning.  In this day and age of good service, these guys ought close down and go to work for Burger King. That would last about two minutes. The tenth customer they said "We'll escalate your order" to, they'd be fired. They hide behind a screen of non-responsive tickets. If you BELIEVE them that they're g oing to get back, you waste the five days you have, and you're left at 4:30 on Wednesday with the deadline at midnight, and you realize you've been screwed. I'm going to file complaints with the Arizona Attorney General and the BBB. In effect, if they've taken my money for hosting and domain ($59), then they should provide you the information so you can use it. They won't. I cannot tell you how bad this company is. And don't believe someone who's "replying." to this, and apologizing. It's probably a Level 1 employee whose job it is to apologize. I haven't been this angry in YEARS. I've been duped. It's a fraud. Shame, shame, shame. ZERO score. It shows TWO because I had to check a star or the thing wouldn't send. And I have some 30 domain names with them and several sites. I'll be migrating as soon as is humanly possible.Less

Stay away from this loser company!

For many years I had a hosting account with GoDaddy. About 6 months ago I (unfortunately) switched to MacHighway thinking it was for the better. Boy did I learn differently. Numerous problems within this 6 months period, the last ...Read Morebeing this bizarre (and do I mean bizarre!) conversation I had with their tech support yesterday. At the outset of the phone conversation, I couldn't understand what the rep (I won't give his name here, but I have notified other people at the company about him). His speech was blurred. Thinking it was a phone line problem, I suggested I call him back to get a better connection. Since he seemed to be the only one manning the phones, I did get him back right away. With the same blurred speaking voice. I had a few issues to resolve (a domain name transfer, an additional domain, and an upgrade in hosting plan). And as much as I tried, he couldn't comprehend/understand any of the questions I asked him. It took him 3 tries to even find my hosting account that I had with the company. Even after I gave him all the information.At this point I put him on speaker phone so my assistant could hear it. And she gave me her take on the problem: the guy was stoned! Drunk or pot or who knows. After she said that to me, I had to agreed. The rep was completely out of it. The long time owner of this company has recently moved on and maybe this is the result. And maybe this is a one time fluke. But honestly, I really don't care what the reason. I'm running a small company and this absolutely bizarre crazy conversation has persuaded me to sever all my business with them. The prices may be good and although the promo stuff about mac people servicing mac people may sound great, they are toxic. Just don't even think about using them!
