Nice hosting for small to medium sized sites
Kwality Host is a good hosting company that is based out of India. They seem to be focused on providing easy to understand shared hosting to all their customers. While they operate out of India, their data center is actually in Texas. They don't own the data center itself, but simply lease the space and support. They don't seem to list when they opened this company, but the data center they use has been around since 1994.
Most of their customers that I have read so far seem to be very happy with the services. Since they are focused primarily on small to medium sized sites, most of them won't be too demanding on what types of things they need.
They also make it a point to say that they don't outsource their support teams. When you open a trouble ticket or otherwise contact them, you will be speaking to an actual employee. Since they are based in India, however, it may seem like an outsourced solution anyway, at least to English speaking customers.
Uptime & Reliability
Quality servers in a quality data center
This company seems to focus on quality hosting and they do a good job keeping your site up and running at all times. They have a 99.9% uptime guarantee so if your site is down too much, you can get credits on your next bill. In addition, the data center that they use is one of the nicest ones in the industry. While they don't own it, they do take advantage of all the great perks, which will help ensure you get a quality hosting experience.
Lots of options, most of them are included
This company has a lot of shared hosting plans to choose from, and all of them come with the different services that you'll need. At the lowest levels you are only allowed one domain, and that goes up as you choose a higher plan. You can choose from either Windows or Linux hosting packages, which is nice. You will get cPanel, which is the most popular control panel for hosting.
One odd thing is that on their 'about us' page they mention that they offer dedicated servers, but I couldn't find it anywhere in their sales areas or listed. It seems that this may be an issue with them not speaking English as their first language, but I can't be certain.
They offer 24/7 support for all their customers using email, phone, and live chat. When you do have issues, they can often help you fairly quickly. In fact, they have a guarantee that all support requests will have a response to them within 30 minutes.
In addition, they do have some good self-help information on their site, but not as much as many other companies are providing.
Prices seem to be in line with industry averages
All their prices are listed in Indian Rupees, which can make it hard to figure out exactly what you are really going to be paying, if you are a US customer. Of course, this won't be an issue for those who live in or around India. When I converted the currency, their prices seem to be in line with industry averages for the most part.
Simple but good hosting
This company provides quality hosting for people who don't need anything too powerful. If you're just running a small to medium sized website, this could be a great company for you. They focus on serving those in India, but with their US based data center, the websites they host likely focus on US visitors.
