Internet Solutions Nigeria Ltd is a very well-established hosting company. They have been in business since 1997, though they haven’t always offered hosting. They also provide cell services, internet services, voice and video, security, networking and more. If you are already using this company for any of these services, it may make a lot of sense to add hosting to the list. For this review, however, I’ll be looking only at the hosting services they offer.
The company only provides shared hosting, and even with that they really keep it quite limited. This is clearly just an afterthought service that they began offering to compliment the other main items they provide for their customers.
They really don’t even mention anything about the type of servers they use or how they are configured. They don’t even mention where their data center is or anything about that. There is no uptime guarantee or anything to make you confident that you will get a good hosting experience. Since this is clearly not a service they are promoting to anyone other than their existing customers they likely just tossed it together. I didn’t find anyone talking about this hosting service though, either positive or negative. From what I can see, you will likely have a stable hosting environment, but they might oversell their services so that you would have slowdowns during peak times.
The features offered for hosting with this company are quite limited. They don’t even have them clearly listed in one spot and you have to dig through their site to find the details. When you do find it you will find they have just one hosting package that you can select. This allows you to host a website with them as well as register the domain you will be using. Other than that, they really don’t give you much information about their hosting. It also looks like they only offer windows based hosting, no Linux.
They don’t list any information about the tech support provided for their hosting. This is a tech company so the chances are they will have options for getting in touch with tech support, but they really don’t share that information. Once again, it might be fine but they should put more information out front on their hosting page if they really wanted to attract more customers.
The hosting package with this company is going to cost $10 per month. Since they don’t have any other hosting packages to choose from there really isn’t much else to know about this. Based on what you can tell from their sales pages, it seems like $10 per month is a little high. If you’re using their other services too, however, the prices might be worth it since it will be more convenient than dealing with a separate hosting company too.
If you are already using Internet Solutions Nigeria Ltd than I’d recommend talking to your account manager and learning more about their hosting services. If you don’t use them for any other services, I’d recommend going to another company that puts more of a focus on hosting.
