Yes, I confirm. The customer service reps are usually non knowleadgeable mostly useless to talk to. they are just reading their sales and support text scripts. No personal offense. Theyre just doing their job.

As for reliabili...Read Morety. Well not as fast. Some occassions were down and response email messages where kinda useless. Their Ticket support needs a Ticket number that you need to login to another site just to get that. Why not get include it in the same Control panel they have. If its just for security sake. Cant understand the process. Arvixe has the same but better (not endorsing arvixe)

Nevertheless, anyone can try to make a test to validate bad reviews on uptime. use Pingdom or any site monitoring tracker to see it for yourselves.

This hosting provider definitely need more man power... the support is poor ! forget their live chat, if you going to have technical issue, they directly open support ticket and there's nothing you can do ?

The server is not so...Read More good.. as i'm having several downtime issue (Not the server, but my site, sometime the database down, etc)... they have multiple server location, but the one i need is always NOT Available..

Probably this is my last year with hostnine...

I've been a webhost for quite a few years(27) and hosted some of my customers websites with H9 for many years too (don't put all your eggs in one basket) . Since a Small Orange took over the support and service has been awful. I'd avoid them at all costs. Be aware

I have been a customer of Host nine for almost 6 years. There support used to be very good and fast. Now it has become abysmal . If you have an issue, you can plan to be down for days with no response from support what so ever. I am leaving them and not looking back.

Worst hosting provider ever! I have around 10-20 unanswered tickets spanning back 3 months. They remove features from their servers such as website builders that were part of my package and suddenly my websites don't work because ...Read Morethe site builder is no longer installed.

They migrated a lot of my sites to new servers but many sites were not transferred properly or days after the transfer and past the expected transfer completion date sites were still offline.

Last year they lost a large number of my clients websites because there servers failed and had no backups. They still say all websites are backed up on their website but can you really trust it when it comes to it.

Also I am pretty sure they had many reviews here on Serchen but now I will be the first to review them. This is very odd and I wonder if all the bad reviews were getting to them!

Do yourself a favor and use a company that can actually do what they say they can do.

HostNine offers a 99% uptime guarantee for all their hosting packages.  This is actually a bit less than most companies provide, and it seems to be more of an afterthought than anything else.  They don't really specify what you get in the even that your hosting goes down for more than the 1%, but it doesn't appear that this happens very often according to what I have been able to find.

Since they have multiple high quality data centers, they are able to offer great reliability for those who need it.  In addition, since you can switch data centers at any time, you can always move servers in the event you are running into trouble.

Features

Many features for any type of site

This company has a variety of different packages to choose from, each one coming with the standard suite of features that most people would expect.  In addition to these, however, you will also have access to things like setting up your own mailing lists, JavaScript, Perl, Ruby on Rails and much more.

They also provide you with a 45 day money back guarantee, which is better than most companies have.  If you have a site hosted on another companies servers, they offer the option to have them move your sites over when you sign up.  Another nice feature is that you are permitted to switch which data center your site is on at any time.  They will migrate it over to the proper server free of charge.
