Misleading Pricing

They need to completely dump there old site.
I was planning on registering a domain for 10years but the issue is a $5yr turns to 12 a year if you register more than 1yr at a time.

Would I host with them? never, Why? because you can find better deals elsewhere.

Try registering any site and compare it to price shown.
Ie even a 1.49 for first year crossed out 3.99 to 5.99avg.
Try tovregistervit for 10 years and it may show 115 instead of say 50 or 60. Which should be 1.49 yr 1, and 3.99...Read More for years 2-10. So total should equal say 37.40. But instead it would come out to say 116.80.

The old site was more accurate. The new site is ugly and not straight.

I went ahead and ragged elsewhere for less due to the issues.

Generally these promotions are only granted to offer a discount for the first year of registration, and almost never include domain renewals. There is obviously a profit margin for Gandi with such promos, but it is minimal.

For the new site design, we are actively working on improving it every day, and issues like the one you mentioned will be fixed shortly.

Bad support and awful website made me lose 10€

They lack a proper website, so you are blind and can't properly see the invoices, services, domains.... They changed the pannel to a buggy screen that always says that you don't have services nor you can see invoices (see screensh...Read Moreots).
The billing process is clunky and in my case there was a double charge for a domain, 27€ x 2. They lack phone support (BEWARE!!) so you will never have a proper fluid communication with them. The mail support team was not replying, so when the bank automatically reversed the charge, then the Gandi Abuse team came like vampires to ask for a 10€ compensation, otherwise they would be shutting down the account. And they don't want to understand the reason and cause of the problem. So I had to pay the ransom... I then took the first opportunity available to move away from them like hell, to another hosting company with phone support.

I can't recommend them at all, specially because when there are problems they will ignore you.
This is important, please always choose phone-support hosting, and stay away of mail-only poor-support companies like Gandi.net.

Worst host provider I had to deal with ever

We use their IAAS They have failures with read only hard drives. We have 30 servers there and they fail 1 per 3 weeks and when sshing to them turns out to be RO mode as I cant create anything on drive (there is a lot of space left...Read More) Fix from gandi is not acceptable they do not even will to fix it but told me to create new server and mount data dist to the newly created vps!!! Who will pay for work hours I have spent because they have bad failing infrastructure. We will need to hire additional engineer just to fix gandi failures. Anyway we have found other host provider and have started migration of all servers to them.Less

Very Bad service now April 2018

Damn, I just realised how bad Gandi had become lately, seeing all these horrible reviews. My situation: I paid my renewal of my domain, but I am still receiving an email telling me to pay for my order. Do not use their services now, it has become a horrible mess.

Also, lots of phishing campaigns are going on since beginning of 2018, and these renew alerts might not be legitimate. Please contact us so we can check.

There is no longer any live support and my first response via email was useless. Waiting for the next response. In the meantime, my business is on hold. All emails are bouncing and I can do absolutely nothing. I will be switching hosts ASAP once I get control of my business' domain again. I also didn't get a domain-will-expire reminder, after the migration to V5. I lost a domain, it wasn't of any importance in my case though, fortunately. Made me nervous. Ok this is it -- you also having had the same problem (no email, lost a domain), the now I'll look for sth else than Gandi.

Fairly normal features

Gandi.net offers a number of different types of shared hosting packages to choose from. You have the option of choosing between, Simple Hosting, Gandi VPS Plan and Reseller plan. Each plan is structured to suit different size businesses and website platforms. Each plan varies in disk space and domains per account. Disk Space ranges from 3GB- 16TB. 1-100MB of bandwidth. A choice of 1-100 domains. For simple hosting plans you can choose between four different size packages. Gandi.net offers a small, medium, large, extra-large and doubleXL plan.

Each plan ranges from 60GB-1To. Their VPS plan is broken down into 5 plans. Each plan has a different amount of core space. Cores ranges from 1 core-12 cores with 1GB of Ram to 16GB of Ram. You can set up a prepaid account and use credits toward the amount of hours space and data is used. You have the option of paying per month or per hour.


Nice support options

You can get in touch with their tech support through a ticketing system, email or a phone number.  They respond fairly quickly and are able to get your issues solved without any significant delay.  When looking on social media and other places I did not find any complaints about support, which is a good sign.

They also offer a FAQ with a lot of good information, and a good user forums system so you can get help from other people that use this hosting company.


Average to slightly above average pricing

Gandi.net offers several different types of pricing packages to choose from ranging from $4.17+ per month and up.  There simple plans are broken down into 5 tiers. Plans for simple hosting start at $5.00-$40.00. They include web accelerator, SSL compatibility and much more. If your company is in need of VPS solutions, Gandi.net has a plan starting at $4.17. This vps plan includes 1to16 CPU cores, 256M to 24GB of RAM and 3GB to 16TB of storage. They have additional upgrades and add ons to help accelerate your web speeds and storage. The highest amount for VPS solutions is around $9.70. Gandi.net also has cloud hosting plans with 10GB of space and 2,048MB of RAM for only $23.33.
