Nice support options
You can get in touch with their tech support through a ticketing system, email or a phone number. They respond fairly quickly and are able to get your issues solved without any significant delay. When looking on social media and other places I did not find any complaints about support, which is a good sign.
They also offer a FAQ with a lot of good information, and a good user forums system so you can get help from other people that use this hosting company.

Nice option for good hosting
A 2-3 day wait to get a domain is not normal. I can understand your frustration. If the issue was having to wait for a response from support, that should be better now that our support team doesn't have the backlog it had when you submitted this review.
I've been with Gandi for well over a decade and never had a problem. Until they switched to their new platform. I muddled my way through the transition and thought all was well. Until yesterday when I stopped receiving email. My domain expired, despite being on auto-renew with a credit card. No real warning. It won't let me renew, for any price. There is no longer any live support and my first response via email was useless. Waiting for the next response. In the meantime, my business is on hold. All emails are bouncing and I can do absolutely nothing. I will be switching hosts ASAP once I get control of my business' domain again. It might be fine for a new domain, but as a long-time customer, I've been shafted. This is a disaster.
I also didn't get a domain-will-expire reminder, after the migration to V5. I lost a domain, it wasn't of any importance in my case though, fortunately. Made me nervous. Ok this is it -- you also having had the same problem (no email, lost a domain), the now I'll look for sth else than Gandi.
It seems like our support team was able to fix this issue but your stress is totally understanable. Besides the specific bug that made it impossible for you to renew your domain until our team fixed it, it seems like having a notification that the renewal had failed would have been useful. I'll send this idea up to our development team to see if we can't do something about that.
Until this summer all was well. Then Gandi announced they were transitioning to a new platform. v5. Sounds good, right? Wrong.
I don't have to do much: manage my DNS, keep a few sites happy, that sort of thing. I duplicate my site from one server to another and go to change my name servers.
I don't exist on gandi's services. I've been locked out. Not sure why. Maybe missed an email they sent out? Some furious messaging later, that is fixed and I enter to see ... a strange new UI, incomprehensible help texts, no service support, and promotions for something called LiveDNS. No explanation of what it is.
No, I don't need that. I just need to switch my name servers.
I can't. They're apparently managed by another company.
Gandi is my registrar, but they seem to have lost my DNS records somewhere in their v4.
I write to support.
I try to switch to LiveDNS - gambling that it might work - all my custom DNS records are lost.
It seems that Gandi has done itself in with its new v5 platform. Things work, then they don't work. The same login works on the new (beta) platform, but not on the old. Updates to DNS records (which often require manual intervention) work for a few hours, then disappear. Support seems to be non-existent - still waiting for a reply to a query I submitted 48 hours ago.
Can't recommend with so many better options available.
Gandi.net is one of the best options for those looking to host their sites in France. Their servers are great and they never oversell them. I have been happy with their company for a number of years. The prices are a little high, but not so high as to make someone want to leave. I would recommend anyone give this company a try.
I love Gandi.net. They have been hosting my site for nearly 6 years now and I haven't had hardly any issues. I love how they have servers in France and the US and have used both for various projects. No matter where you are, they can provide you with a great hosting experience. They seem to want their company to come off as 'casual' or cool since they use the 'no bullshit' slogan, but I am not a big fan of that. It just seems unprofessional, and for such a great service, it is unfortunate.
