Flywheel Expert Review 2021
Written by: Michael Lavnduski

Expert Overview
Diverse Hosting Since 2012
Flywheel has been in business since 2012 providing customers with a variety of hosting options. They are focused on WordPress hosting, which is the most popular content management system in the world. Whether you’re making a site just for friends and family or you are looking to launch a large business page, they have the resources to help you. In addition to web hosting, they also offer a variety of creativity tools, ROI calculators, design publications, video help and more.
The company has customers from around the world, and their team members all have a profile on the website so you can really ‘get to know’ the hosting company you’re working with. Overall, this is one of the better hosting providers out there and they will be able to meet all your needs.
Uptime & Reliability
Very Stable Hosting
It doesn’t seem that there is any type of uptime guarantee, but that doesn’t mean you will have problems. They use high quality hardware in very nice data centers, which will help give you a great overall experience. Most people who use this service have reported that they are very happy with the stability of their sites. In addition, they have full site backups, malware monitoring and other features that will help ensure your site is up and available for your visitors at all times.
Features
Easy to Understand Features
Looking through the features page (which is actually under the pricing heading) you will see that they have everything laid out nicely. They don’t do things like most other hosting companies, which may be a little confusing at first, but it makes sense once you get used to it. First, you can pay per site, which means you can choose a package that allows just one WordPress install on it. Within this category there are four levels ranging from ‘Tiny’ to Custom. The tiny package allows up to 5000 monthly visitors, 5 gigs of disk space and 250 gigs of bandwidth.
The ‘Professional’ package provides up to 100,000 visitors, 20 gigs of disk space and 1TB of bandwidth. If you need more than that you can choose a custom option that can support virtually unlimited traffic and however much disk space you need.
If you are going to be making lots of sites, you can move up to their bulk plan, which provides higher limits and either 10, 30 or more than 30 installs of WordPress. This is a good option for people who are running multiple sites or hosting resellers.
Support
24/7 Tech Support Available
The tech support is around 24/7/365 to help you with any issues you are having. They offer fully managed hosting, which means they not only handle any hardware issues, but they can help with software problems too. There are a lot of documents, videos and other information on their site too, which can help keep you informed about how to do things and what type of services you are getting.
Pricing
Slightly Overpriced Hosting
The hosting at each level is a little more expensive than what you would expect to see. For example, the entry level package for a single site will cost you $15 per month. It is true that you do get nice hosting and quality features at this level, but it is still above the industry average. As you move up in features, the prices will naturally go up as well. At every level it looks like the prices are just a little above average. This is not to say that they are ripping you off, just that if cost is a major factor for you, there are cheaper options.
User Friendly
Very Friendly Corporate Culture
This company is focused on providing their customers with an excellent service. They are extremely friendly whenever you work with them. When you look through their list of employees you will even find that they have people employed as ‘Happiness Engineers.’ While it is not clear what exactly that is, it does seem obvious that they take being a good company for customers and employees seriously. Their site is configured nicely for easy navigating too, which is very important for all user friendly companies.
Summary
Overall Excellent Hosting Solution
This is really a very nice hosting company. They do things differently than most other options, which is not necessarily a bad thing. So far I have only seen happy customers that are satisfied with their overall experience.
Pros:
- Very Stable
- User Friendly Company
- Custom Hosting Options
Cons:
