Services seem to be reliable

As a publicly traded company they have that sense of reliability and assurance many hosts don't have and that can often be a good enough reason to get a host. I don't doubt their reliability but it seems like they haven't updated their features in years because they have plans that would've been OK in the late nineties but not today.

Thankfully they do also have a 30-day money back guarantee even for the yearly plan, so if you decide is not enough for you, you're allowed to cancel no questions asked.

Features

Very flexible hosting options

One of their primary selling points is flexibility. They allow you to get the server you want, running the OS and specs that you need, rather than preconfigured machines. Where you need Windows or Red Hat, they can install both on your account.

I am not a fan of their Windows plans at all. They are overpriced, severely limited, and all require a minimum commitment of three months. Disk space on all plans ranges from 2GB to 20GB (with 25-50% of that reserved for only email), and bandwidth that's from 50-500GB, there are better ASP hosts out there.

They also have a Microsoft SharePoint hosting server, where they sell plans featuring 100MB-10GB of document storage, as well as 50-500GB of bandwidth. The plans are similarly priced and featured to the ASP ones, including the 3-month minimum subscription. They do use a fully featured easy-to-use interface, perform nightly backups of the entire account, and allows for large amounts of collaboration on projects. In addition, they have WordPress CMS accounts available, both of which unfortunately feature a maximum disk space of 500MB and SQL database of 25MB. While they aren't ridiculously expensive, the server will fill up VERY quickly with such a small database. It's not even close to being worth getting such a low end package.

Surprisingly, Alentus has high quality dedicated servers that seem to be very well featured. All four of them have Quad Core processors and a minimum of 8 gb RAM, as well as a minimum of 600GB disk space. You have to contact them before ordering however.

Support

Limited support options available

They have sales lines so up for North America as well as the United Kingdom that you can call, though they are available during business hours only. They don't handle support issues through the phone however meaning you need to use the ticket system, which is supposedly 24/7 to get help.

Pricing

Some very good deals

For their SharePoint servers, they have a free month off promo if you purchase a 12-month plan. For yearly plans, the average monthly payment for those servers are $8.95 per month, all the way up to $99/monthly for the 10GB storage plan. Those prices are even higher if you purchase a quarterly plan instead of annual.

They have WordPress CMS plans that start at $4.45 (w/ 12 month purchase) per month for the basic, no e-mail plan, and $8.95 for the one with email access, but still only 500 mb of disk storage. I personally wouldn't get such a plan even if it was a dollar. As for the Microsoft Exchange plans, they're actually not priced terribly (between $12 and $25 monthly), but still require a yearly purchase and feature very low disk space.

They don't list dedicated server prices and request that you contact them if you're interested in those.

Summary

Very well-established hosting company

They are a company that has been around for years. So much so now they're a publicly traded business, which adds a dimension of trust that's hard to come by. On the other hand, most of their plans, outside of their dedicated servers, are a complete rip off. Some people look for reliability more than anything though, so it may be a possible option for some.
